Marine air interdiction force supports Afghan Border Patrol from above

  1. I doubt the mich/ach that captain is wearing was issued ( I do like the addition of the ops core rails) but who knows.

  2. I remember when Captains would have the First Sargent go and "devil dog" you when you wore non issued high speed low drag gear. Even they issued you junk that was hardly "servicesable" then they would make you run to cash sales to buy a new piece of kit.

Yah a lot of what I wear isn't issued but its been bought over time, fits the load thats required and is just better than what I'm issued (and thanks to people I know or family knows as been almost free). I don't have a problem with troops doing the same as thing as long as its within reason and practical. My one sticking point is armor, that is something you wear what your issued.
