  1. Sol,

I know from reading some of your previous posts that you are a proponet of the MV-22 and F-35. Do you believe the platforms are worth the sky high costs? What has you so sold on platforms?

Personally, I like both, but the costs are outrageous.

  2. i love both airplanes but i'm to the point where i'm seeing a huge imbalance in the force. the only part of the Marine Corps that's getting properly modernized is the air wing and the ground side is wasting away. i don't know why that's being allowed to happen but it can't continue.

  3. I know the F-35 is better, or whatever, but I'll always be nostalgic for the Harrier. Stealth is great, but it's really ruined fighter jets from an aesthetic point of view. Back in the day before thrust vectoring and stealth, jets were gorgeous examples of form meets function. I guess that expression still holds, but the forms dictated by stealth all basically look exactly the same. Much in the same way that all modern "super cars" basically all look the same.

  4. in ten or twenty years it'll be back to form follows function and stealth for all practical purposes will not be dependent on shaping. then planes will get their groove back.

Israel used a system called «Suter» that looks like it can reproduce enemy radar emittions and «inject» false information ...Syria only knew what was happening whem bombs started to fall from the sky...
