but what i wanted to see was the impact area. if they used submunitions on this then it must be a sight to behold. i bet you could level forests with that...or take out a tank battalion, not to mention what they would do to infantry.
there ain't enough anti-air in the world to keep some fly guy from wanting to paint that on the side of his plane. he'd probably kamikaze himself for wanting to kill that thing.
what would be cool is if you could set it up. drive about a mile or two away and then launch it. wait till counterbattery fire fades or the planes stop snooping and picking it up and reloading.
Yes. Now, you can probably put a bike somewhere in that contraption and run away as it starts to fire.
No, I have the feeling it needs something similar to an outpost or something. It's movable, but it's not a "laptop" you can plug and play anywhere. Which doesn't mean, you know, you can't, well, do it in a pinch.
How about larger MLRS rockets like the M270? With 6 instead of 20 rockets per pod your launch time is cut by more than 2/3rds. It also gives you the added bonus of being able to use ATACMS.
Takes way too long to fire a full load, as stated earlier any decent counter-battery fire would get there but against an enemy with lesser or no c-b? Yikes.
