Damn I miss San Diego! Boys will be boys!

Lets see.

If this goes like it once did, LEO's will drop charges, it'll get pushed over to the Marine Corps ... we'll see 30/30 and two months half pay.

Its cool...after all.  Boys will be boys!  Seriously though.  This needs to get handled ricky-tick quick.  Hopefully the only thing bruised are feelings and body parts.

Sidenote:  Pretty impressive ground and pound on the part of San Diego PD.  They must have upped their hand to hand training.  That was a text book mount he put on that Devil Pup.

  1. eh, 6 cops, 2 guys? I mean I'd be down for a 2 on 1, but 3 on 1? Eh....not so much. As for the video, hey you got stupid and cops did something, except it

    1. John, you've never had the occasion to try and get a resistive, combative suspect into handcuffs, have you? Let alone two of them.

      Idiot.

    2. wrong. he's coming from the perspective of a Marine Infantryman. two on one is a luxury, but its taught that one Marine is more than a match (or should be) for an enemy soldier. that thinking sticks no matter how high in rank you get and even lasts a lifetime.

another thing that Marines wouldn't understand about the police response is that the Marine was actually resisting in the "Marine" sense of the word. you saw no strikes or kicks. you saw no attempt at holds or even grappling on the part of the Marine.

i still say its a boys will be boys kinda thing and i'm confident that the police will kick it over to the Corps and the guys will be a slap...a hard slap on the wrist (don't know the details but from my arm chair i hope thats what happens)...and this will simply be chalked up to a lesson learned.

what it doesn't need to be pushed up to is to this being the equivalent of some criminal on the streets thats actually out to kill police. in my opinion it wasn't. crowds, females and alcohol. the bane of every male Marines existence when out on liberty.

    4. "Thebronze" Clearly you've never had to apprehend Haitians during a riot, with shit going all over the place and being outnumbered a shit ton. You've more than likely never had to put someone in flex cuffs while a full fledged gun fight was going as well, oh and while doing so bringing in close air support. GO FUCK YOURSELF

if you read with any context you would see i was talking form the Marine's point of view, trying to fight two people, not to bad, can be done, 3..thats a whole different topic, and i agreed with the way the cop's went about business.

      again, GO FUCK YOURSELF

  2. Bicycle cops too. Getting into a fight with the police and then making a big deal about getting hit. Sad. Don't want to get hit by cops? Don't do that.

  4. Sol even around here they normally drop any assault public servant charges down to resisting. They can't get it past the grand jury. Heck just had a lady that pulled a gun on some officers and was pulling the trigger when she got shot. The grand jury dropped everything against her. evading, man delivery of narcotics, and agg assault deadly weapon x2.
I would have to say I love military justice better than the justice system. Once arrested 3 Navy guys for causing a huge fight. No one got hurt so instead of taking them in for PI we contacted the local base and dropped them off. There was an officer at the front waiting on them wearing nothing but his boots and underwear. He apologized for them being stupid and decided it was time for those extremely drunk gentlemen to go for a run. It was satisfying to hear one of them begin to throw up just as they were getting out of sight and hearing the azz chewing they were getting. Id rather have every Public intox handled that way.

    1. for the most part military justice is quick and efficient and painful enough that the accused won't want that trouble again. love the story of the late night PT run. that's doing it right. oh and digging fighting positions for vehicles and then being ecologically friendly by filling them back again.

    1. you're so right it hurts. you can toss a stick at most agencies in california and find them filled with not only Marines but other servicemembers. they recruit hard. real hard.
