If you're not a bit depressed about the state of US society then I present to you exhibit number 1, "The Walking Dead". Not the show but the reaction of people to it. The lady friend invited me to one of her weekly rituals and I'm off on the side typing this out.
My reaction to the show? How many tactical mistakes can you make and still get a chance to breath on God's green earth? These people should have been dog food long ago if this is any indication of their martial abilities! Rick is suppose to be this hardcore superman, mad dog killer that chills the blood of ordinary men? Not in the circles I run in. I mean damn. If this is leadership in the apocalypse then humanity is damned to extinction!
But forget me. The reaction of the other "watch party" attendees. I have never heard so many gasps, so many people cover their eyes....so much utter shock at a fictional story in my life! Oh and just so you know it wasn't just the people I was around check out these posts of the reaction on the "Walking Dead Tumblr Page".
