I've got to read this guy's book....

A Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi.  Have you heard of it?  To my regret I hadn't but this guy's quotes are inspiring.  I've focused on Western philosophy but haven't even touched the surface on the thinking from the different greats (and I'm talking about ancient philosophers, not the new jacks that fancy themselves to be in that class) in other parts of the world.

Yeah.  I'm embarrassed to say that I view China as a threat and haven't read books that influence their thinking.  I think of Japan and S. Korea as allies and haven't read books that are required reading for their warriors.

Time to correct that.  A Book of Five Rings seems like a good place to start.  If you know of others that I should take a look at let me know in comments.
