Australian Troops Conduct Beach Landing During Talisman Saber (video) and a prediction.

Prediction.  The Aussies will have to form a section of troops dedicated to the amphibious mission.  They might not go the Marine Corps route but they might go halfway with the Italian solution and raise some "Naval Infantry".

The Aussies can shout all they want about not having the manpower but the reality of the region will dictate that they MUST make that move.

The Aussie leadership in the Army will scream and shout but they will be forced to at least keep pace with their neighbors.  Dreams of fighting a mech assault in the Middle East will give way to the reality of facing off in the jungles and towns of the Pacific region.
