Poisonous atmosphere in the National Security Council. Is McMasters failing?

via Daily Caller.
Three current White House officials — all of whom requested anonymity — charged that McMaster opposes key Trump foreign and military policies.

“H.R. is just not aligned with the president, from NAFTA to climate change, to radical Islam, to immigration, to Cuba, Afghanistan and Iran. I am at a pain to find an issue that H.R. actually aligns with the president, except to the desire to actually win and beat ISIS. That’s the only one,” said one of the administration officials interviewed by TheDCNF.

McMaster has also retained key national security staffers from former President Barack Obama’s eight years in the White House, including many who participated in forming critical foreign policy initiatives Trump opposed during the 2016 presidential campaign. Trump tweeted in April that he viewed Obama’s foreign policy as a “total failure.”
Story here.

Wow.  Everyone is getting fed information that Steve Bannon (like many of his ideas but his "base" followers are bastards) has the long knives out for McMaster.

But one thing no one has done is to examine McMaster's leadership style.

Why do I bring this up?

The dude is almost a rock star Army general but he hadn't pinned on his fourth star.  That seems off for one of the most storied and recognized leaders in that branch.  Additionally I haven't heard the grass roots cheer him on...I'm talking about the average Soldier just trying to do his job and get home at the end of the day...or his contract.

But leadership style is irrelevant, even if its fiery that works as long as the job is getting done, but McMaster is not a believer in his boss' agenda.

To quote the story, McMaster doesn't line up with any of Trump's views.  Is he running the NSC in accordance with guidance from the President or is he pushing a different agenda.

We might be seeing the baby steps toward McMaster being ousted.  I thought this story had died down, but suddenly it pops back up.  Yeah.  I think Trump wants McMaster's head on a plate.
