124th Infantry Regiment gets uparmored Humvees for its Horn of Africa mission.... photos by Senior Master Sgt. Jill Lavoie

U.S. Army Spc. James Moss, 2nd Battalion, 124th Infantry Regiment, marshals an 1151 up armored Humvee off a C-17 at Camp Lemonnier May 7, 2016. The up armored vehicles will increase the mission capable rate and therefore enhance security forces capabilities in the Combine Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa area of responsibility

Hmm.  This place totally dropped off the radar after the Pentagon started monkeying with the sat pics of the runways at our base there.  I don't know if 2nd Battalion, 124th Infantry Regiment is running missions outside the wire or just responsible for base security.  Either way I'd imagine that its a pretty busy base with all the fighting in Yemen.

Below is a slide from 2015 showing US military "bases/camps/installations" in the region.
