I remember Marine Corps officials saying that they would be monitoring this project but if it delivers then wow....People ignore history but the Japanese had a robust amphibious vehicle industry during WW2.
If they pull this off and if this works as advertised then the USMC fiddled and dithered with the F-35 so long that not only will the ACV be obsolete before it enters service but it will also be outclassed by offerings from an ally.
I'm at a loss for words.
The USMC was the world's leader in this class vehicle for over 70 years and we threw it away.
Just plain fucking wow.
