Before we get to the news about this thing let me express my biggest fear. The US Army, especially its light infantry/airborne/air assault, will compete with Marine Corps units for room aboard Navy amphibious ships. The USMC has tilted so hard to sea denial that we've left a glaring hole for them to assume the assault mission. Hell our OWN LEADERSHIP has practically declared assault from the sea to be dead.

The U.S. Army will field the long-anticipated Bell MV-75 tiltrotor aircraft this year ahead of its former schedule, Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George announced at the Army’s Senior Leader Sitrep town hall meeting that premiered online today.
The Bell MV-75, previously designated the Bell V-280 Valor, promises greater maneuverability in the air than traditional helicopters. The aircraft was previously slated for delivery between 2031 and 2032, but George announced during the town hall that production has been accelerated.
This is the second gen tilt rotor. I expect it to have better performance overall than the V-22 especially in terms of maintenance even though it will be brand new.
The US Army is drinking our kool aide and our leadership in trying to predict a narrow future are quickly making us irrelevant.
We need to course correct now or the Marine Corps will only exist as a ceremonial unit with 8th&I, the band and maybe embassy duty.
The budget cutters will eventually arrive and right now we can't justify our mission.
