Two stuck C-130's at a makeshift airfield? Tell me the Rangers were there without saying it out loud. Wonder who else went. Delta/ST-6? One of those outfits most definitely. MARSOC? Not sure at all. Maybe if the fight got big enough (which is why I want a good definition of a "big" firefight..especially for these groups). The outlier for me are the Air Force units. Red Horse dudes aren't considered Special Ops but this is supposed to be their thing. Air Force Security Forces to guard the airfield? Maybe but I doubt it. They'd just use what's left of the Special Ops dudes to do that. Combat Controllers were certainly there. Air Force Special Recon? I think so. Combat Weather? Only if they needed more shooters and they're Special Ops qualified.🇺🇸🇮🇷 In Iran, at the location where U.S. forces established a makeshift airstrip to carry out the evacuation of American Special Operations forces and the recovered pilot, two C-130 transport aircraft that had landed became stuck in the sand.

As a result, U.S. forces destroyed… pic.twitter.com/wdn1FZJOXL
They've come a long way from the disaster in the desert so many many years ago.
Well done.
But I still want details!
