Is this the beginning of China's economic assault on America?

Hmm. Removing their corporations from the NYSE? Maybe minor but I believe they're sending a message. Oh and did you hear what the SouthCom Combatant Commander said? She believes that the Chinese could essential use the Panama Canal and perhaps even all of S. America as a pressure point if they decide to attack Taiwan. IE...they'll launch attacks there so we'll be distracted in our own backyard while they clean up their own! We waited too long. China is a global power now and will soon be "expeditionary".
