I post this with great pride. I was called stupid because I pushed the idea of large missile trucks replacing fighters. The USAF is FINALLY talking about using bombers in the missile truck role!!!!

YES! YES! YES! It only makes sense! Large DEDICATED missile trucks can have bigger GaN AESA's, carry larger/longer ranged missile (internally) and will naturally have far greater range! It will require a different allocation of responsibiity though. The Navy will never be able to have large enough aircraft on their decks to fully exploit this theory so they'll become responsible for close in combat while the Air Force can lob missiles from distance. I LIKE IT!
