Polish-supplied Ukrainian 155mm Krab howitzer’s turret decapitated from the body

Many of the blurry pics of destroyed equipment is now being claimed as being modern decoys. No doubt about this one. First Krab I've seen destroyed like this. The German Howitzers seem tough as hell though. Saw one shrug off a hit from a loitering munition.

What is reported to be Russian barrier troops executing fleeing soldiers. Wait. I thought fleeing enemy was still considered combatants?

Showing my age here. Obviously sensibilities have changed but I was taught that fleeing enemies were still combatants and were to be treated as such. I won't even go into "cleaning" or "tidying up" a battlefield. That's one good thing (probably the only good thing) about this war. If people are paying attention (which I doubt) then they'll quickly move past the "glorious" warfare insanity that some appear to have.

I can't help but think about those Jokers that have been "lucky" enough to have survived the fight so far on both sides.

Everyone says the winter wasn't bad in Europe?  It was for the guys in the field.  That you're getting less rain?  They've been pissed on.  The summer?  Ate up by bugs, boiling in their clothes and probably not enough water to keep themselves hydrated.

And if they remain lucky they get to do it all over again for the following year.

Back on task.

Shooting a fleeing enemy is legal right?

Dude fought the law and lost bad (mildly NSFW)

This counteroffensive is rather feeble...

The town of Makarivka was lost and then recaptured by the Russians? This is a feeble counteroffensive if they're unable to consolidate on gains made on the battlefield. Defense is easy. Combined Arms in the attack are hard. No wonder we don't hear the chest thumping anymore from the Ukrainian side.

I say again.

Turn off this war before even more lives and treasure are lost. Everyone has diplomats for a reason. It's past time those bubbas earned their pay.

Sicario seen with AT-4 anti-tank missile. How can it be anything but Narco-Insurgency in Mexico

When you have Narco Hitmen walking around with AT-4s how can it be considered anything but a Narco-Insurgency. I'm sure our intel agencies have even more info on the issues there and I'm sure they've already labeled them as such. Quite honestly a "partial" intervention into the border region with Mexico to establish a buffer zone ala North/South Korea is probably warranted at this time.

But back on task.

AT-4s in Mexico in the hands of gangsters.  How long before some connected individual decides to make a trip or have it delivered across the border for some spicy domestic action.

Law Enforcement, Politicians and the general public is not ready for what's coming.

Times are so good that Americans are worried about silly shit. That's gonna end soon and shit is gonna get real for everyone.

Open Comment Post - Ukraine War Discussion - 12 June 23/ Where are we at with the offensive?

I have to wonder where we're at with the Ukrainian offensive.  The fog of war has arrived full force on the internet and the Ukrainians aren't putting out much at all.

I've said it once and I'll say it again.

Defense is so much EASIER than offensive action.

But what kills is that NATO trainers taught individual activity.  Doing grunt shit.  Tanker shit.  Gun bunny shit.

Did they forget that those separate skillsets have to be trained TOGETHER to operate as a combat team to make it work?
