3d MLR Marines Conduct Scout Screener

U.S. Marines with 3d Marine Littoral Regiment, 3d Marine Division, conduct a pistol marksmanship lane during a scout platoon screener at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, June 5, 2023. The screener evaluates Marine’s abilities to execute basic skills, learn and retain information, and improve scores over repetitious evaluations to identify Marines who will be successful in the future scout platoon.

This makes no sense.  They just ended weapons plt with the idea that any infantryman can be taught to fire any weapon proficiently.

Now they're doing screeners for scout plt?  Fucking why?  Are they gonna insert in a way that is totally different from the rest of the unit?

Are they expected to perform at a higher standard than the rest of the unit?

This is glorified bullshit.

The Marine Corps has had a series of ass kissing, ineffective leaders that all wanted to reshape the Corps in his image and ended up leaving the institution in worse shape than they found it.

I don't know what the Marine Corps is except reverting to the junior member of the Dept Of The Navy.

The JOINT FORCE means that all of the services integrate with each other.  This hyper integration with the Navy should signal to the bean counters that the Marine Corps should no longer have a chair on the JCS.  Hell if I was leading the US Army and was watching this bullshit I WOULD DEMAND IT!

Every General in the USMC should be on his or her knees praying to God that a war with China comes.  If it doesn't then this organization is over.  If a war comes somewhere else and its on land, the USMC will be looking like idiots while shouting like a bunch of bitches that we're organized for the pacing threat while the Army is stacking bodies and doing work.

Hit me straight?  In its current form why do we need a Marine Corps?  Recon/Counter Recon?  Sats and UAVs can do that.  YOU DON'T NEED AN ENTIRE SERVICE TO DO THAT.

Stand In Force?  WHAT DO YOU CALL ALL THE FORWARD DEPLOYED UNITS THE ARMY HAS IN THE MIDDLE EAST, EUROPE, S. KOREA and parts unknown.

Berger, his boy Smith and everyone associated with Force Design 2030 is full of shit.

3d Littoral Combat Team Patrol Exercise

This guy makes a compelling case that Ukraine blew up the dam

I would like to point out the following...

1.  This guy thinks that the dam was blown so that they wouldn't have to conduct an amphibious assault.

2.  The story of the dam's destruction has faded from the headlines and no one is talking about it.

Do you get the force of connection?

The US govt knew that Ukraine destroyed Nord Stream but many in the administration rushed to point fingers at Russia.  They got burned bad because SOMEONE ALWAYS TALKS!

Now we have the dam's destruction.  No accusations, just alot of "we don't know which side did it".

Trust and believe that the US Army, Corps Of Engineers, a bunch of other experts have poured over the data.  Additionally we have all kinds of surveillance systems operating and collecting real time data 24/7 over this war zone.

If it was Russia they'd be shouting it to the rooftops.

Ukraine blew the dam.  The silence on this environmental nightmare tells me all I need to know.  If Greta shuts her mouth then you know the politics of this thing are not favorable to her agenda.

KillNet, Anonymous Sudan and REvil says they're gonna take down the European banking system in 48 hours

Get your emergency cash now! I mean it can't hurt to be safe can it?

The USMC today could not breach Russian fortifications. Could the US Army do what the Ukrainians can't?

How well would US ground forces do against the Russian fortifications.

As I said in the title.  The USMC would not even attempt to breach those fortifications.  They are lighter than the 82nd Airborne now and while the Airborne bubbas might give it a run, a totally defensive USMC could not.

I read the testimony of the incoming Commandant before the Senate and the Marine Corps is full bore on this naval integration thing so doing anything but being the Navy's bitch is totally out of the question for the foreseeable future.

But what about the US Army?

I think if they made a run at it barebones.  Meaning just the forces they have organic to the Army that it would be rough go.

Could they breach it?

Yeah.  They could definitely breach it but it would be a very bloody affair and while the US Army would definitely give better than it got, the public would be horrified at the butcher's bill.

How would they do with the Joint Force behind them?

In this case when I say the Joint Force I mean the USAF & Navy Aviation (remember the USMC is gonna be recon/counter recon in the Pacific waiting for a fight that ain't coming).

The main backers in this will be the USAF.

And I believe that air power will be the key to making the results acceptable to the public.

I think you'd see a modified shock and awe campaign aimed at the fortification all up and down the line.  We'd probably see weeks of that campaign before the first Assault Breacher Vehicle even started its engine.

Oh and don't forget.  Long range artillery will be playing in this game and just like in previous wars they're gonna go after anti-air first, enemy long range artillery second and once all that's neutralized they're gonna hammer the dog shit out of the troops in defense.

Once the table is set then you'll see the Army rush thru and brag about the power of the new Abrams and effectiveness of the Bradley when handled by professionals.

The American Empire will not permit this.

Thanks to Duke 7 for the link! We all focus on the military aspects of things but I've been trying to get feet wet into the economic side of stuff cause at the end of the day its all about money. The military is just a means to enforce economic policy.

This trend has to be beyond troubling to the power that be in Washington.

The US Dollar is the foundation upon which our empire is built.  If Africa dumps the dollar (and other countries including some we are trying to woo are instead operating a basket of currencies) then thing get a bit wobbly for us.

I've predicted that the next war will not be in the Pacific but in Africa.

Think we're not ready for a fight in the Pacific?  Check out a REAL map of Africa and drink in the huge land distances involved.

The weird thing?

EABOs would be perfect if they weren't so biased to the naval fight on this continent.

The tyranny of distance has always been talked about when it comes to the naval fight.  It will apply in spades if we're talking about a fight in Africa.

Historically we've always fought along the coasts when it comes to that land mass.  A fight in central Africa would be a whole new stage of hard.

Oh and let me remind you of this.  The French and British went after Gaddafi for less than is proposed here and we all knew how that turned out.  A truly horrible death.
