Did the Ukrainians just declare this counter offensive a failure?

This tweet sounds like an admission of defeat but there is so much more. I detect a jab at the Leopard 2 MBT. Stating that they can get American Abrams indicates to me that they believe that its armored protection will be key to breaking thru Russian defenses. But the biggest takeaway is that this war will continue. The ability to develop enough combat power to breach is not present (and I don't think will be in the future). We're looking at a stalemate. Hopefully with this realization we can finally start talking ceasefire and then a peace agreement. Unfortunately the push to add Ukraine to NATO will bring all kinds of unforeseen dangers. In the past the mutual defense charter meant something but even if peace were declared with Ukraine joining NATO, I consider them too much of a wild card. My fear is that when admitted to NATO they're likely to conduct a false flag operation to plunge the alliance into a direct conflict with Russia.

Just plain wow. The Israeli PM is stating that Western weapons have gone to Ukraine, hit the market and ended up in the hands of terrorists in the Middle East. This should be front page news. I warned about the rampant corruption Ukraine. I also warned that we might face the scenario that criminal organizations might use anti-tank weapons to take on local law enforcement or worse they might decide to destroy an airliner with one of the manpads we've sent. This war will be a threat to the West for several generations to come. Bad policy always leads to bad results.

Of course the real kick in the pants is that even Israel has decided that it will not go along with US "asks".  

We've lost the Middle East.

It's now a Russia/China playground.

We are watching real time America power/influence decline.

Ok. I'm convinced that this is an internal battle. What I can't figure is what Prigozhin's goal is and who is behind it. If I didn't know better I would think that either Shoigu is the target of a PERSONAL vendetta which is his best case scenario. The worst case is that Putin is encouraging this and is setting up justification for firing the guy. If this is palace intrigue then is Shoigu being setup as the fall guy? Regardless I can't see this going on much further. This type of activity going on while your forces are in the midst of resisting a counter offensive is not what you want to see at the upper reaches of the military.

Has Shoigu ever responded to these verbal attacks?  I would luv to know his standing with Putin as this moment.

Has Putin ever made any public statements about Prigozhin's statements?

Regardless Shoigu better have a go bag packed and ready to go with firearms, passports and tons of cash & gold.
