In the US we haven't faced protests like we've seen in France or now Hong Kong (at least in my lifetime).  Correction.  We haven't seen them last this long.

Maybe it's geography or culture but I have to wonder what's really going on in both places.

From my chair spontaneous protests would have died out by now.  So how are they continuing?

People do have lives to get back to right?

So how is this possible without some benefactor providing the money for this thing?
