After Coronavirus, Marco Rubio Wants to Make Drugs in America Again

via Free Beacon
As the novel coronavirus has swept the earth, nations have been left scrambling to find, and even hoard, the medical tools needed to fight the deadly disease.

For a period of days last week, India looked set to ban the export of hydroxychloroquine, an unproven but promising treatment for COVID-19. Protective equipment producers 3M and Honeywell have alleged that the Chinese government has prohibited them from exporting their products. Much of Europe has closed its nominally open border to the flow of masks and other vital medical equipment, while the EU's lack of support for Italy has the country's prime minister warning the crisis could mean the union's failure.

Such defensiveness is a common feature of pandemics—during the 1976 swine flu scare, the United States refused to share vaccines, even with its close ally Canada. Nonetheless, this every-nation-for-itself moment has taken many by surprise, including American leaders now struggling to source vital resources. To Sen. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.), this surprise is an ideological failure—a belief that free trade and cosmopolitanism had so whittled away the nation-state that individual countries would not pursue their self-interest in a time of crisis.

Robots on the battlefield will cause sheer terror in humans one day...

Imagine 1K of those things charging your position, leaping over obstacles and firing mini chain guns at you along the way.

Robots on the battlefield will cause sheer terror in humans one day.

I'm calling it now.

Either humans will be augmented, drugged or both to deal with these mechanical beasts.

It's gonna be steroids passed out like candy or some type of cybernetics or both along with some calming drugs to keep people from wigging out.

How long its gonna take to see it come true is the only question.  I give it till maybe 2060 to have it perfected, but we'll see some basic form of it by about 2040.

Russia resupplies Syrian Army...

Strange war in Syria.

If I was in command of the Turkish military seems like a little boarding and seizing would take place.

But it isn't.

It's almost like we've been seeing the worst in the operational art take place in that country.

Almost seems like no one is fighting to win...just fighting to fight.

Fauci: Administration discussing immunity cards for Americans

Thanks to Mobeuis2249 for the link...

via The Hill
Anthony Fauci, the nation’s leading infectious disease expert, said it’s possible that in the future Americans may carry documents to prove they are immune or not infected with the coronavirus.

Fauci, who is one of the public health officials on the administration’s coronavirus task force, said such a system is one of several options they are discussing.

“That’s possible,” he said on CNN’s “New Day.”

“It’s one of those things that we talk about when we want to make sure who the vulnerable people are and not,” Fauci added. “This is something that’s being discussed, I think it might actually have some merit.”

The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases also said that within a period of “a week or so” there will be a large number of new antibody tests, which allow users to discover whether they possess a unique immune response to the virus.

“As soon as they get validated, they’ll be out there for people to use,” Fauci said. “It’s very likely that there are a large number of people out there that have been infected, have been asymptomatic and did not know.”
Here.

Jesus!  This sounds like some 3rd Reich shit!  Immunity cards?  So are they gonna be running checkpoints and you don't have your papers they send you home?

This is almost the perfect kind of crisis.

They can do all kinds of shit in the so called public good and 99 percent of Americans will swallow this shit hook line and sinker.

Hate to go there but I must.  When it comes to voting, perhaps the most consequential action that any citizen can engage in they don't care if you're  an actual citizen or not, but for this I must provide documentation?

Our world is fucked up from the floor up.  This sounds like madness to me but I can't properly express why.

Hit me up dissenters.  Why is this a good idea?

"Nothing allows a government to grow like a crisis"...Tim Kennedy

We've been over this broken ground but we need to take a serious look at what's been done in the name of protecting us.

During last years flu season the CDC estimated that 34,200 people died.

Up to 440,000 people died from medical mistakes (the third leading cause of death in the US).

But because of this we shut down the govt, closed business and have restricted the rights of travel to the majority of our FREE citizens?

Additionally the medical advice on this trauma is shifting right before our eyes.  I read a report that the ventilators that staff have been crying for have less than beneficial factors in relation to patients recovering.

Did we FREELY give up too much?  Did we happily go along with the govt instead of questioning this reaction?

Did we illustrate to the powers that be that if told we're facing an emergency that we would all cower like sheep and not even question the rationale behind their decisions?

I hope not, but I think we just did...and we've been doing it for more than a few weeks now.
