| Don't know if you guys have seen this going around, but California National Guard aviators let their big brass ones hang out on this one. Two aircrews, a Blackhawk and a Chinook Flew at night with NODs through high winds with burning embers, heavy smoke and difficult terrain to rescue over 200 people completely cut off and trapped by fire with it closing in on them last night. They made multiple trips to get everyone out. CalFire waived them off and warned them do not go because the conditions were too dangerous. They said fuck that and went anyway. Second pic is view from the chinook cockpit on the ground while loading first group of people. Our hats are off to the pilots and crew. I hope they are able to get you guys wheelbarrows big enough for your cajones. |

I don't know whether or not to cheer, laugh or cry at the insanity.
Between political organizations riling people up, to foreign powers attempting to take advantage of the divide in the American public, to reactionaries on both sides that are hoping for a civil war that they're too stupid to realize they'll be the first to die in...we're in a shit locker.
Having said all that. Ain't this something?

I don't believe a civil war is on the horizon.
I do believe we're gonna see sporadic incidents of extreme violence on our streets (pretty much what you're seeing now except you'll see factions involved...well I guess that is the same thing if you include gang violence in the pic).
The weird thing?
I also believe that 99.9% of the population will be sitting on the sidelines watching the madness.
I'm in a weird position. I have pure dee rednecks that probably hate the color of my skin walking up to me to shake my hand (fist bumps...coronavirus), thanking me for what I do and then I have people of my same ethnic group that look at me sideways like I'm a child of satan.
2020 can't end soon enough. Normal wasn't good but it was better than this bullshit.

Wow.
This is a stunning development. I really considered this to be more important than the T-15. I saw this vehicle as the natural successor to the BMP and would be a necessary and important evolution for them.
Wonder what caused the Russians to essentially kill the program? Could they possibly consider "product improved" BMPs good enough?
