The reason why I ask is because the overlap in mission set with what the NECC was doing and what the USMC is seeking to do going into the future seem obvious.

I also have to wonder about the approach they took in trying to show relevancy going into the future. Small boat swarms seemed fine but in a peer conflict they were never going to play with the big boys.

At the end of the day I'm betting its real simple.

It's the budget.

It's always about the budget and the Navy is simply dumping every hull they don't find useful to make room for stuff they do.

Whether your guy won (Biden) or your guy lost (Trump) one thing is clear.

This was a close election. The worst thing that can happen is for agendas to be pushed during times like this.

Want to see chaos continue?

Have Biden push forward an agenda thru bare majorities in the Congress or even worse thru Presidential Order and watch it all go away in the next two years.

Can you imagine a decade of that type of back and forth?

I can.

What would result?

Even more tumultuous elections. Even more violence in the streets. This is a time for cooler heads to prevail and for consensus to be built. Do something with covid (we now have 7 strains in the US) and fix the economy. That's it! Everything else can wait.
