2nd MEF Press Release.

 via 2nd MEF

The Marine who released the video has met with her chain of command to discuss her concerns. The command takes any allegation of an orders violation or any criminal offense seriously, and provides the required assistance to any and all victims. The video released by a Marine last week was in reference to a case in which the accused Marine transferred personal information from another Marine’s cell phone to his own personal device. A proper investigation was conducted that substantiated the accusation.

The Marine was found guilty, receiving a non-judicial punishment for a violation under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. He was reduced in rank, received forfeiture of pay, and was processed for administrative separation from service. Final actions in the administrative separation process are ongoing.

The Marine who released the video has since met with her chain of command and was provided advocacy and support resources available by the command and the installation. The command takes any allegation of an orders violation or any criminal offense seriously, and provides the required assistance to any and all victims.

Yeah this is about that viral video from the female Marine.  I thought the allegation was of being raped.  This appears to be something else.

Interesting.

Old skool Marines were told many things in Boot Camp.  One of those things was to "NEVER MESS WITH WM's".

Since San Diego is now co-ed I guess the message stopped being passed.

VMM-363 (MV-22s)...

I was wondering if we were about to see a lawn dart for sec. That cannon was starting to oscilate for a bit but seems to have settled down. When was the last time a M-777 was planted in the Mojave? I know the Army uses two point sling loading to avoid this problem (or I think they do). This is probably a stupid question but why don't they use a small chute attached to the back end of the "cargo" to steady it during flight?

Unmanned CH-54?

To be honest several people have talked about a flying crane version of the CH-53 (simply remove the fuselage...Mike Sparks was big on the idea) so could a modern version work? I think so. What I wonder is how much weight would be saved by giving it the CH-54 treatment. Back on task though. Upgrade those engines to the same on the '53K and you might have a nice thing here. One problem (I think). RANGE!
