Scary thought. Are we about to get the economy of the 70's?

For the youngsters out there if we are then be afraid. Be very afraid!

'Civilians flock to defend Ukraine as Russia tensions mount'...wow. The poor bastards will be slaughtered...

Wow. I can see Russian military leaders laughing their asses off at this news.

If I ran Russia's military I'd turn my cyber boys loose on their power grid.  Air traffic control system.  Then I'd have them unleash hell on every part of their infrastructure I haven't even thought of.

Then I'd get my Spetsnaz to engage in a few acts of kinetic sabotage.

I'd break the will of the people before fighting ever started.

Civilians tend to think its a game.  They really need to avoid the idea that is.  But they can "fuck around and find out" (FAFO).

“Flexport just contracted to fly three 747 loads of potatoes to Japan to help with the French fry shortage” ... it might sound funny but this is really ominous - EYES ON THIS ISSUE!

 via BNN Bloomberg

The fast-food company has said it expects the issue to be resolved by New Year’s Eve and that it was arranging alternative shipment options like airplanes. McDonald’s Holdings Co. Japan couldn’t confirm or deny it’s using Flexport to import its potatoes. The sale of medium and large size fries will resume as planned on Dec. 31, a spokeswoman said by telephone on Wednesday. Flexport’s Petersen didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

The shortage isn’t just limited to Japan. In New York, iconic burger joint J.G. Melon said in an Instagram post last week that it was suspending sales of its cottage fries due to supply-chain issues. Flow of products from cream cheese to chicken tenders has also come under strain.

Here

I have never experienced empty store shelves till this pandemic.  If it extends to food in a major way (I consider potatoes a staple) then things are gonna be dicey.

In my opinion this could be ominous.

Can you imagine what will happen in the West if we're faced with food shortages?

NOT BEING ABLE TO BUY YOUR FAVORITE FAST FOOD BURGER KINDA SHORTAGE, but a real deal no more rice, wheat, poultry etc...kinda shortage.

The crime wave we've seen before will go crazy.  I've seen people commit crimes for what they want.  Can you imagine what they'll do to eat?
