Russian President Vladimir Putin warns Europe will be dragged into military conflict if Ukraine joins NATO

 via Sky News

Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned European countries will be drawn into military conflict if Ukraine joins NATO, following a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

The Russian leader also warned there would be "no winners" from the ongoing crisis, after meeting with his French counterpart at the Kremlin, for talks he described as useful, substantive and business-like.

Here

I think Russia's position is very clear.  Ukraine joining Nato will lead to war.

I also think (and I have NOTHING to base it on) that there are people that think they pull strings behind the scenes that lust for Ukraine to be part of Nato.

Most of my Russian audience tend to believe there will be no invasion.  They're closer to this action than I am so I give their views much weight.

BUT!

I'm looking at troop movements.  Nato runs all kinds of exercises all the time.  Russia doesn't.  This thing they're doing is huge.  Its combined forces up and down the spectrum.

I can't believe that you would get the big guns out and not at least scuff up your opponent.

I wouldn't and I don't think Putin will either.

USS Green Bay (LPD 20) Conducts Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) Operations

German Navy mine warfare and clearance diving school

Black Hawk helicopter completed an autonomous, uncrewed flight

I just can't wrap my head around the excitement behind this. The USMC was using uncrewed KAMAX helicopters for cargo missions. The US Navy has been using a Kiowa(?) for the same for a while now too. Quite honestly I don't understand why this rose to the point of being a "DARPA Hard" kinda thing!

Weaponized Light Combat Armored optionally unmanned ground vehicle 'Stinger' from Israel

The Boxer APC will transform the British Army BEYOND its aspirations?

The Jaguar Recon(?) Vehicle is finally part of the French Army herd...

Is it just me or does it seem like the French have the most balanced armored force in Europe? I think the VCBI is underated, the Leclerc is too and their wheeled vehicles are at least competitive (or in the case of the Jaguar) if not superior to much of what we see on that continent. Much impressed.
