I wonder how much stuff Russia is putting out just so they can identify the holes in their system.
I KNOW China is monitoring this situation with their cyber teams and identifying (or trying to) the way we penetrated Russia's systems and using it to plug any leaks in their own.
The economic damage from this clusterfuck will be bad enough.
The intel hit will be almost tragic (I just hope they're not burning a mole in all this!).
Tell me again why Ukraine is worth this?
1/3 Conducts Coastal Defense Operations
This is another thing I'd like to see war gamed. A company landing team will not hold up to an assault by Chinese Marines in amphibious assault vehicles. Which brings me to this. Where are the anti-tank, anti-boat, anti-landing craft missiles?

The president himself is talking about the repercussions that come with Russia invading, our sanctions taking effect and the economic outcome that will result from that action.
Everyone is united in the defense of Ukraine? Awesome. Let's see how united they are when the aftermath becomes felt by the average citizen.
Forget all that. Is Ukraine worth it? If so then why? Note. Don't hit me with freedom, mom and apple pie. I've heard that song and dance too many times!

British SAS & SBS deployed to Ukraine?

The UK sent about 100 troops to Ukraine from a special unit of the "Special Air Service", better known as the SAS. This is reported by the portal "The Sunday Mirror" with reference to its own source.
According to the publication, SAS specialists will train the Ukrainian military "counter-insurgency tactics, sniper shooting and sabotage."
In addition to the "special air service", the British sent troops of the "special boat service", a special reconnaissance regiment and a special forces support group to help the regime in Kiev.
Recently, the UK has been actively helping Ukraine. Since the end of January, the British have sent at least 7 C-17A military transport aircraft with 2,000 NLAW anti-tank guided systems.
Together with us, about three dozen intelligence servicemen arrived at the Ukrainians. According to one version, they were supposed to train the Ukrainian military to use new anti-tank systems.
However, some sources claimed that British special forces arrived in Kiev to assist in the possible evacuation of their embassy and British citizens remaining on Ukrainian territory.
Wow. I find this interesting. Even sending the SAS & SBS to Ukraine to assist with evacuations would be pretty big news.
Supposedly this was reported in the British press. Wonder why it didn't hit here.

We haven't talked about this helicopter in quite awhile. They're obviously progressing. It's not popular but I could actually see big Army going with both. The tilt rotor for the long distance fight in the Pacific/Africa/Middle East. NATO eFP Battle Group Latvia @ Exercise Ajax Strike
I would love to see a computer simulation pitting a Russian Battalion Tactical Group against a NATO eFP Battle Group. I bet it would prove to be quite fascinating.
