8x8 IFVs capable of driving at highway speeds isn't necessarily a good thing...
Imagine if there were troops in the back (talking of 8x8 troop carriers). Additionally the Rooikat is relatively low profile too.Yesterday 19th Feb, an SANDF 🇿🇦 Rooikat AFV was involved in an accident on N1 highway just outside Bloemfontein.

Looks like the 8x8 vehicle was overtaking above 80km/hr when the driver lost control. pic.twitter.com/WCSAoE8Bhv

CHVK Wagner got smashed in Syria...
Note. I question the timing on this. Weird that this should come to light now with the tensions in the area. I'll chew on that. Never forget we're in the land of mirrors.
via Newsweek.
Polygraph.info transcribed and translated the conversations recorded.
In the first audio clip, a man says, "One squadron fucking lost 200 people...right away, another one lost 10 people…and I don't know about the third squadron but it got torn up pretty badly, too.... So three squadrons took a beating."
The man explains that American forces used artillery and helicopter gunships to repel the assault. "They were all shelling the holy fuck out of it, and our guys didn't have anything besides the assault rifles…. Nothing at all, I'm not even talking about shoulder-fired SAMs or anything like that…. They tore us to pieces, put us through hell," he says.
-----
In the third clip, a man can be heard explaining the Russian convoy was a few hundred meters away from target when the American forces raised their flag and hit the Russians with a heavy artillery barrage, wiping out the first column instantly. "We got our fucking asses beat rough, the Yankees made their point," he said. "What were they hoping for, that the Yankees are just going to fuck off?... It's bullshit, some people can't even be fucking ID'ed, too many people there."
In another of the clips, a man claims, "There are about 215 fucking killed" on the Russian side.
It has been reported that up to 300 Russians may have died in the strikes. The Kremlin initially denied all reports of Russians being involved in the incident. However, in recent days, Russia's foreign ministry has acknowledged that "several dozen" Russians were killed or wounded.

Russian vehicles now sporting invasion markings!
Yep. You know what this means. They're getting ready to cross the berm! That's without a doubt their invasion markings. Pass the popcorn Noble! We're about to see the Russian version of missile and mech warfare! We're about to see what an enhanced MAGTF upgunned with MLRS & NEMISIS would look like (too bad its been torn down!).Another military column in Belgorod with a Msta-B howitzer and "Z" markings. https://t.co/zYryEBPi53 pic.twitter.com/wj6ZX2UsxV

Is anyone as alarmed as I am by the COMPLETE absence of China from the Ukraine situation?
I got slammed for saying that when the Soviet Union broke up we had a golden opportunity to bring Russia into the EU, NATO and to help them transform into a free market system on steroids.
I stand by that!
But what I find funny is that no one is talking about the complete absence of China from the Ukrainian situation.
Russia consulted them at the beginning but I have yet to hear of any EU, NATO or even the US talking to China about the situation.
Make no mistake.
China wants no part of that cluster. I really don't blame them but they're one of the great powers and if we REALLY want to make sanctions work (assuming it comes to that) then we REALLY need them onboard.
This is what I'm talking about when I say that the US State Dept is beyond weak. They're impotent and pathetic.
Oh and be advised.
Those sanctions are gonna WRECK not Russia, but maybe the EU and most definitely the US.
You think gas prices are high now? Wait till those sanctions hit. You think you can weather that? You forget that the Federal Reserve is about to hike interest rates.
We're letting this situation build the PERFECT STORM against our own economy!
Let me add another widget. Did you know that there is "Stealth Omicron" floating around?
Did you know that its more transmissible AND more deadly than Omicron...more like the punch from Delta?
So we're dealing with inflation from hell, a Fed hike, sanctions, possible continuation of the pandemic, a broken/shattered Ukraine, crime spikes, a disjointed public, a crisis of morality and a weak president?
This is the perfect storm and a bunch of clowns in DC can only scream the "freedom"rant while killing the American dream.
We've been defeated NOT by the enemy but our own inept leaders.

Say good bye to big amphibs...
Those 30 smaller amphibs better be fucking fantastic. But even worse. This basically CONFIRMS one foe, one region. Berger did what no enemy force has ever done. He's ripped the Marine Air-Ground Task Force apart and replaced it with something pathetic.CNO Gilday speaking just now on new US Navy Force Structure : 500 ships. 12 CVN carriers. 70 SSN attack subs. 12 SSBN ballistic missile subs. 60 DDG destroyers. 50 FFG frigates. 9 night deck LHD/LHA amphibs, 30 smaller amphibs. 100 support ships. 150 unmanned. WOW #West2022

I’ll accept a smaller Marine Corps to make light amphibs happen
Oh and if you're thinking that 30 smaller amphibs means LPDs...well I'm not so sure.
The Department of the Navy, which the Corps is part of, currently plans to acquire 24 to 35 of the vessels, also known as LAWs, and procure the first platform in fiscal year 2023.
So yeah. He gets his 30 LAWs but we don't know what happens to the LPDs. My guess? Either they get reclassed as support ships or they get sold to the Army or a foreign force. I mean we saw how fast they tossed tanks in the trash.
