Russia is using its Kalibr Cruise Missiles to strike Ukraine...

Wow. Everyone has been wanting this thing to ramp up but keep ignoring the dangers. The Russians are using Kalibr Cruise Missiles now. I might be wrong but that seems big to me. They're upping the ante. I think they're still trying to slow walk this thing and not tear up too much infrastructure but the longer this goes on the worse its gonna get.

Zelensky calls on the West to immediately impose a no fly zone , saying that if it does not, "it means that the West wants Russia to kill us all slowly."

From bravado, to pleading, now demanding...if we follow this flow chart then I guess bargaining is next...

Now they want an insurgency in Ukraine against Russia? ARE THEY CRAZY!

 Jesus.

We have fools in our news media and if our govt leaders are listening then they're idiots.

Capehart on his Sunday show is (appears to be at least) almost cheering for an insurgency and asked if the Pentagon is planning for it.

Are you fucking kidding me!

Insurgency spread.  They're never contained.  Surrounding countries are always affected and the flow of men and material always make the counter insurgency force push hard to stop it.

In other words?

An insurgency starts in Ukraine then it will spread to the surrounding EU countries.

The journalist might not know better (they're hyping the emotion train and have climbed on board) but anyone associated with defense issues should.

Found a vid (definitely butchered the spelling of the guys name). Listen to this idiocy. Whoever that woman is she's the most hawkish of them all...easy to spend other people's lives I guess. Definitely the media consider themselves part of the elite. Many here are trying to say that I'm being shaped by Russian psyops? Maybe those same people need to consider that they're being shaped by domestic psyops.

Give Them Cream via The Art Of Manliness

 via AOM

You wake up early on a dark, cold morning to meet your friend for a run. But he’s a no-show at the trailhead. “Sorry, man!” he texts you later. “I overslept.” “No worries!” you reply.

At work, Janet peeks her downcast face into your cubicle. “I was going through our records,” she confesses, “and it looks like I sent the wrong numbers to Acme Co.” “That’s ok,” you assure her. “We’ll get it straightened out.”

On the way home, you stop by a restaurant to pick up a take-out order that was supposed to be ready at 5:30. You’re still sitting there at 6. “Sorry about the wait,” the hostess tells you. “No biggie,” you respond. “I can see you’re slammed.”

That night, as you sit down to eat dinner, your son reaches across the table, knocking over a glass and spilling water all over the food. “Geezus, Tommy!!” you explode. “How could you be so stupid?!”

One of life’s great ironies is that we often treat friends, co-workers, and even strangers better than we do our own family.

With the former group, we’re still eager to be liked and make a good impression. We’re still concerned about what they think of us.

With the latter, our familiarity, the underlying ties of vow and duty and blood, can lead us to presume upon their fidelity.

It’s nice to be able to let your hair down with those with whom you’re closest. But such comfortableness should never become a license to drop the kind of patient politeness and basic civility you would offer everyone else.

Too often we give the cream of ourselves to those we really don’t give a fig about, while offering our dregs to those who mean the most.

When really, of course, it ought to be the other way round.

We waited too long. China kicks its defense budget into overdrive...

Question.

Does the US manufacturing sector even know what wartime production is?  Are they capable of producing at "survival of the state" manufacturing rate?

Are all the aircraft in the boneyards capable of being turned around (I know many aren't) in a relatively short period if we see heavy losses against a foe?

I don't believe we get a positive answer to any of those questions.

From this plus up the Chinese appear to be setting the foundation for something big soon.

We ain't ready.

A Russian view of why this mess got started in Ukraine...

Basic 101.  Try to understand the enemies intentions and motivations.  Notice I didn't say you had to AGREE with them but it is most helpful to understand them.

Many of the non-thinking folks that comment here don't seem to understand that.  Awesome.  They can "you do you" thing while I seek to get a better understanding of this thing.

For those in the audience that are like me and want to get an inkling of why this kicked off from the Russian perspective I invite you to read an e-mail that I received.

NOTE AGAIN (this is for the slow people in class)!  I don't necessarily agree but I DO WANT TO KNOW Russian motivations!

You asked your tribe why the attack now and you got the usual nonsense about putting the USSR back together. That is nonsense. There are a number of reasons why this has happened.

The first was the over throw of the Ukrainian government by the US a few years ago and the imposition of some one that answers to the US. That was followed by NATO countries starting to ship more and more advanced weapons into Ukrain in violations of agreements. TB2 being one of the big ones.  That was followed up by Boris the clown sending a UK destroyer practically into Sevestopol.  Russians should have sunk it,

The second is the endless ramping up of sanctions. This is an act of war. Germany and France both tried to prevent the end of NordStream 2 as Europe desperately needs it. The US didn't care and made it clear that they were killing it and the whole "The Russians are coming the Russians are coming" was all about killing NS2. Russia said it wasn't going to happen, Ukraine said it wasn't going to happen, Frannce, Germany the Scandanavian countries, Ireland all asked the US for proof that the Russians were going in and the US wouldn't provide it. If you remember about a week ago the WH spokes man was challenged on it by a reporter and he gave the "The dog ate my home work"  answer.  This BS pushed by Washington has been kiliing the Ukraine economy and Zelinski has told Biden repeatedly to STFU.

The third was the endless shelling of the Russian speaking population by the Nazis in Ukraine. This one can not be over stated.

Next was the US abandoning the nuclear agreements.

But the final straw was twoi things that Zelinski said. The first is that Ukraine would never honour the Minsk Protocol. Putin has been  begging and begging and begging for the signatories of the Minsk agreements to honour their word and implement it. If they had this would be over already. Instead Zelinski said in the last week that he would never honour it. That left no solution possible for the shelling of the Russian population in Donbas.

But the final straw was when Zelinsy went to the security summit last week and spent the whole fucking day telling any one that would listen that if the west didn't give into Ukrrins black mail that Ukraine would get nuclear weapons and station then a couple of hundred miles from Moscow.  Some one from NATO should have kicked him in the nuts, shoved him in a trunk and sunk it in a river. But no one said shit.  A couple of days later the tanks were rolling.

You have spoken to the Russians on your board. Every one is in agreement about not wanting Ukaine even the Donbas regions as part of Russia.  Russia has allready stated the terms to turn Ukrain back  but now as independent unarmed states..

Make no mistake Ukraine is in even worse economic shape than Lebanon, Syria or Turkey. It will take billions to stabilize it. It should default on it's loans in the next 2 weeks unless the west comes up with billions more. The only thing  the Russians want from Ukraine is for the shelling of the Russian population to stop and for it to be a neutral country. That could have been done at any time. Instead the absolute shit head Blinken got stupid and now all of Europe is in chaos.

Huge news washed out by Ukraine.

Captured Russian Pilots...did the anti-aircraft missile do this, the ejection or did they get scuffed up by ground troops?

Brittney Griner nabbed in Moscow...

Not surprised. Oh and I don't doubt that she did indeed have it in her bag. Weird thing? US laxity when it comes to drugs now is definitely gonna set up people from liberal states to face charges in more conservative countries. Unfortunately the US has chosen to cut relations (or at least drastically scale them back). This is why that move is so stupid. Despite the war we could (and have) worked with Russia on many issues. They have worked with us to de-conflict several war zones our forces have been active in. Additionally it can help with situations like the one Ms Griner is facing.

I pity her though.

She is about to face something from her most tortured dreams.  Not only is she gonna be locked up but she's gonna face a Russian prison.

Hope God is with her.  Still gonna be a very rough ride though. Very rough ride.

Zelensky's arc in videos...

I've made the statement that Zelensky has had a hell of an arc. From looking completely over his head at the beginning of this fight, to defiance - damn near arrogance in the middle and now appearing to be staring into the abyss and losing his composure. Its on full display if you just watch and make an ATTEMPT to read his body language.

The above vid was at the start of this thing.

This is Zelensky at the height of his power. A media darling. A symbol to many. He was basking in the glory of the moment.

More fawning and hero worship.

The exuberance and over confidence is gone. The arrogance has all but disappeared. Now he's begging for help and asking for NATO involvement.

This one I don't understand. The power plant wasn't attacked. It was an adjacent building. But the bigger issue is that YOU MUST CONTROL power production if you're going after a country, a building that is holding a hostage, even a crack house that you know is fortified! That's 101.

But back to Zelensky. I read this as him flailing about. He lost a battle but he has a war to win right? His hyper focus on this subject along with the news media is more over the top hype designed to stir the masses.

The Ukrainian president has had a helluva arc.  It will be interesting to see how history views him.

USMC F/A-18D crashes

Elon gets it but Biden won't...High fuel prices will cause electoral pain that could be prevented...

Enviornmentalist are about to lose their base of support if fuel prices rise. Even impressionable youth are stunned and stunted by increasing prices due to sky high energy. Musk gets it but will Biden? If he wants to see his party survive the midterms he better! I believe his instinct IS TO ACT, but the progressives/greens in his party will revolt if he does. He's stuck and his party will take a beating.

If you're a target via TacticalHyve

The answer?  Stay strapped.  Stay alert.  But understand you can do everything right and still lose.  Death smiles at us all.

The MASS of Ukrainian refugees to the US/West will prove to be instructive when it comes to the subject of immigration...

We shall soon see the reality of the anti-immigration community.

We've seen the reaction of Arabs and Africans into Europe and the fallout there.  We've seen the reaction of Other Than Mexicans (OTM) & Mexicans into the US.

What will be the reaction of possibly MILLIONS of Ukrainians coming to Western countries?

How will the anti-immigration community react to that?  Will they be welcomed?  If yes then why?  Will they remain consistent?

I look forward to seeing the answer.  I have no idea how it will turn out but it will be fascinating.

Sen Graham goes batshit stupid...calls for someone to "take out Putin"

THIS!

THIS RIGHT HERE!

This idiotic emoting, this time on the part of a Senator trying to get a few more invitations to cocktail parties with the elite, is gonna be the death of us all.

Let some backwards clown in a third world country call for someone to blow up Congress and before the Tweet goes viral you'll see SOCOM with wheels up heading to parts unknown to conduct a classified mission on behalf of the National Command Authority.

Ya wanna know what's sad?  Despite all the name calling (our politicians are getting real good at that...almost like bad girls in high school) Putin will ignore it.

What if he didn't?  What if Putin took Graham at his word and assumed that he spoke for the United States?

But wait you're saying.  No way could he believe that right?

No way I thought a senior Senator would say anything so fucking stupid.
