Nika Nikoubin: I wonder how many more like her are out there?
via Heavy
Nika Nikoubin is a Nevada woman accused of attacking a man she met on the dating website “Plenty of Fish” in retaliation for the U.S. drone strike that killed Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.
The Review Journal obtained the arrest report in the incident from Henderson Police Department in Nevada. Heavy has reached out to Henderson PD for a copy of the report.
Nikoubin is a former cheerleader, Cycle Bar worker, and debate team coach at UCLA, according to her Facebook page.
The attack occurred at the Sunset Station Hotel and Casino, where the pair agreed to meet and rent a room together, KTLA reported.
Wow. I thought Marine Corps groupies and Badge Bunnies were bad. This takes dating to a new level.
Be careful out there!

Get on your horse and kick via the Art Of Manliness
There could hardly be a more horrifying way to die: when young Sean O’Brien waded into the Nueces River on horseback, he disrupted a nest of water moccasins, and found himself surrounded by a swarm of big, brown, worm-like snakes.By the time his companions were able to pull Sean from the water, his body was covered in numerous fang marks, and he soon expired along the banks of the river. In this episode from the novel Lonesome Dove, a grave is shortly dug, a hasty burial service is held, and the men prepare to keep their cattle drive moving. But Sean’s fellow cowboys, especially his brother Allen, find it difficult to grapple with this sudden and unexpected death.Weak with shock, Allen is the last to mount his horse, and as the men ride off, he keeps looking back at his brother’s grave. “It seems very quick just to ride off and leave the boy,” he says with dismay. “He was the babe of our family.”“If we was in town we’d have a fine funeral,” the cowboy sage Augustus McCrae replies. “But we ain’t in town. There’s nothing you can do but kick your horse.”Gus may seem cold, but he’s simply a realist.Whether we’re faced with literal death or more everyday setbacks and losses, we ought to mourn/commemorate/figure out where we may have messed up.But there’s a point where nothing else can be done; no amount of paralyzing grief, rear-view regret, or circular rumination is going to bring back the deceased, enable you to redo the blown job interview, give you another shot with your ex. You gotta saddle up and ride on, pardner.Life can only be lived forwards.Feet in the stirrups. Hands on the reins. Eyes towards the horizon.

Iskander-M missile strike on Ukrainian Command Post & a little rant about comments
Note. We are all living in the land of mirrors. Some are upset because I want to get the Russian view of this fight. My response? Get over it and wrap your brains around the fact that we are being bombarded with propaganda from ALL sides!
Riddle me this. If the Russians weren't making gains then why are we seeing increased sanctions over what has already been done? Why has Zelensky increased his appeals to not only the President and Congress but directly to the American people? The answer is simple. We're only getting the version of the war that is being pushed by the Western media. That is and will never be the whole story.
Posting opposing viewpoints is the first step toward the truth. It is ugly. It is at times vicious. It is always upsetting, especially when it conflicts with your worldview, but it is necessary to understand it.
So I end this little rant by saying this. It is your duty to be informed. Embrace it. Savior it. Remember that there is an ongoing battle for YOUR mind!

Ukrainian Foreign Fighters are getting pummeled...Report from a Brazilian that went to the war zone...
There are fights where you can help (as light infantry) and then there is this mess. I predicted they would go heavy/hard and the Russians did. You can't do a thing against artillery/missiles.Brazilian foreign fighter in Ukraine has reported about this news on his Instagram story and stated “the base where we were was attacked now from missiles more than 200 dead, 200! people that came to help the Ukrainian people” pic.twitter.com/MfA53B8o7y

Question. During an invasion, what do you do with people in prison? How about child molesters that are being monitored by authorities? Drug dealers, etc...?
It just hit me.
What did Ukraine do with their people that were in prison? How about child molesters that had served their time and were released but being monitored by authorities? Drug dealers, etc...?
I ask because I saw a story on Sky News (we get their broadcast) and they told about a couple in the UK that is planning on providing a room in their house to Ukrainian refugees.
This will spread. People today like to virtue signal and they will jump upside down to show what "good" people they are.
I have yet to hear anyone talk about the security aspect of this many people being allowed into the West without checking their backgrounds.
Does anyone have any REAL info on this?
The fight in the UK over increased defense spending is fascinating. Their Treasury is holding firm, but "emotional" politicians are pushing hard..
… makes rejecting those calls tricky. Just take a look at who is publicly backing an increase. Cabinet figures (Liz Truss keeps saying West failed to spend enough). Labour (Keir Starmer wants the 10,000 troop cut scrapped). And yes Tories and ex-military chiefs, but… 2/

How crazy is the emotionalism over the world? I believe the sanctions/tariffs against Russia might plunge the world into a DEEP recession

The military incursion has forced Ukraine’s two leading neon suppliers to suspend operations, a major disruption with global economic consequences. Neon is critically important to semiconductor chip manufacturing, and nearly half of the world’s semiconductor-grade neon originates from these two suppliers, Ingas and Cryoin, Reuters notes.
Reuters estimates the two firms produce between 45% and 54% of the specific type of neon needed to manufacture semiconductor chips. Under normal circumstances, Ingas pumps out 15,000 to 20,000 cubic meters of neon per month, with about 75% of that going directly into the chip industry. Global neon production reaches 540 metric tons per year, according to market research firm Techcet. While Cryoin halted operations on the day of the invasion, Ingas had managed to maintain production as Russian forces invaded, but it eventually halted operations this week due to the escalating conflict. That conflict hit close to home for Ingas on Wednesday when Russia’s military reportedly bombarded a maternity hospital in Mariupol, the city where Ingas is based, according to the World Health Organization.
Those disruptions pose a dire threat to an industry that just began its path to recovery from two years of pandemic-related supply chain shortages. Shocks from those shortages have led to production delays of everything from Ford F-150s to Apple electronics and just about everything in between.
You think the gas shock has hit you hard? Wait till it continues down to damn near every consumer electronic device you buy. It will definitely hit our own military and industrial tech too.
We are not looking at an economic downturn/slowdown but if this drags on we're looking at a worldwide RECESSION or worse!
Cooler heads have to prevail or its gonna be bad for everyone...I'm not talking about just the war but the economic consequences of this thing too.
The anti-tank ambush team's tactics on this ambush are messing with me...
This freaking war man!
I definitely don't get the Russian mech troops response to this ambush but the more I look at it the more BATSHIT crazy the anti-tank teams tactics look.
They're not only within damn near danger close range to the enemy but they're almost within APS coverage range.
I don't know if they survived but I'm guessing they did judging from the reaction of the troops being ambushed.
BUT THEY SHOULDN'T BE!
Upon further review I don't think there are ANY LESSONS to be learned from this war.
We should treat it as an anomaly.
This thing is so weird, so disjointed, so freaking bat shit crazy that to try to apply this to any future conflicts would be setting ourselves up for failure.
Earlier I made the comment that we should reconsider the use of MBTs, IFV, APC and JLTV type vehicles in the attack. That was based on how easily the Ukrainians have been picking off those vehicles.
I got pushback from readers and ya know what? THEY'RE RIGHT!
The tactics are just terrible.
