Funding choices by local politicians has already affected public safety. That trend will continue. More than ever its apparent that your safety depends on YOU, not government!

Make no mistake about it.  While I haven't seen this in my area, you can bet that it will spread like wildfire on the East and West coasts.

Gas prices affecting patrol?  You bet your ass.  What will that lead to?  Less officers on the street.  More reports being taken over the phone.  Less officers on the street plus more reports taken over the phone mean that you'll see MORE crime...so called low level crime but crime none-the-less.

French Armed Forces In Estonia

The Mirage fighters took part in the NATO's largest ever exercise, Ramstein Legacy: thousands of troops from about 50 military aircrafts, 17 ground-to-air Surface Based Air & Missile Defense units and also air defense personnel at Ämari in Estonia were acting in concert.

Jaguar armed with ASRAAM missiles

I've always wondered why this didn't catch on with other aircraft. It would seem like an awesome way to clear up space below the wing to carry heavier (and bigger) ordnance. Regardless, the Jaguar is a classic that I love. It was a TRUE rough field performer!

What’s in your kit, Portuguese combat swimmer? (master subs)


Swimming with a 40-kg backpack full of military kit is all in a day’s work for a Portuguese combat swimmer.
Synopsis

We take a look inside the kit of 2nd Sgt André Ascensão, a section commander in the Portuguese Reconnaissance Platoon.

The group was operating in Lithuania as part of NATO Assurance Measures which comprise land, sea and air activities in, on and around the eastern part of the Alliance.

Footage includes all aspects of the equipment a marine would carry on operation, and an interview in Portuguese describing the items.

All soldiers were operating within a self-contained bubble in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines for NATO deployments in the Baltics. NATO videographers observed these guidelines in accordance with NATO policies.

Next Gen Abrams & Next Gen Stryker coming to AUSA 2022!

Ok. Full disclosure. I CAN'T WAIT to see what they're cooking up! The US Army has been needing a Stryker replacement for the last 10 years!
The suspension on the Stryker....I hope they beefed up that suspension and upgraded the engine to at least 800hp! Hybrid electric/diesel should be ready to go too...that could be helpful.

How much more can we give before it becomes a threat to our national security?  I thought we had already reached that point but something tells me this has become an "emotional" issue for Biden and he'll take that risk...just to look tough on Putin.

The Case for Force Design 2030 Panel Discussion_9June22

 

First things first!

Thank you Marine Corps for putting this out.  I won't name the person I follow on Twitter for insisting that we watch this but THANK YOU!

Next.  I have a few bullet points from this round table discussion but one thing stands out to me.

Force Design 2030....the Stand-In-Force Concept along with EABO is following the F-35 concurrency model!

It's crazy that after seeing that tremendous boondoggle the Commandant would PURPOSEFULLY develop a total remaking of the Marine Corps, not know its final desired form and attempt to back stop it with the "Campaign Of Learning" meme.

Having said this the vid is very informative, but still leaves a huge number of holes.

*  Kerg (Marine Corps Officer) is a true believer.  I really didn't get much from his part of the discussion.  Basically a regurgitation of what's already been said in support of the concept.  At no point do I recall him addressing any of the detractors points.
* Brown (Marine Corps Officer - Kurlak Center) seems to also be in the true follower camp.  He did however give us a view into the war games that are helping "design" this thing.  I feel like he had the most COMPELLING presentation.  It's at the 16:40 mark.
* Logistics is turning into a HUGE problem for this force and its deployment.  I don't know but I would bet that the spike in MV-22 crashes has a bit to do with attempting to model resupply at distance.  Its kinda obvious that robotic aircraft or boats will be needed to support this system.  Additionally it shows why the Marine Corps is pushing for the 31 big amphibs and why the Commandant keeps talking about "alternative" uses for the well decks.  They're gonna need those well decks for robotic boats to resupply those far flung Company Landing Teams (oh and yeah...that term is BACK!).

Note.  No one has pointed out two people opposed to FD2030 is (1) General Mattis, who once served as the SecDef and is supposedly the driving force behind this monstrosity and (2)Krulak, the former Commandant of the Marine Corps and son of Brute Krulak also opposes this concept.

China says it will NOT hesitate to start a war over Taiwan...

Why do I get the feeling that the stage is being set for this fight? No attempts to avoid it. Simply a rush to get it done. I wonder why we just didn't get this done in the 80's instead of waiting till around 2030? Whenever it comes, and I believe its coming, its gonna be ugly.

USMC Discusses Land-Based Tomahawk Missile Launchers....NOTE! IT IS NOT LOW SIGNATURE!

Geez!

That is NOT LOW SIGNATURE!  That thing is gonna be big as hell and attract every Chinese asset in the area to neutralize it.


The more I see the more convinced that the Marine Corps...the new Marine Corps is being used as a bullet sponge to protect ships.

It's the only thing that makes sense.  You're gonna deploy missiles from pockets of land that can destroy enemy ships?  If you're lucky enough to hit one or MAYBE two, you're gonna eat a metric shit ton of munitions.

The good thing for the Navy?  Its missiles that aren't flying toward a destroyer.

I am more convinced than ever that the Stand-In-Force/EABO concept is not about being a fighting force.  It's about being a tripwire force to take the punches while the fighting forces get their shit together to actually conduct the war.

Today's Marines are already being sized up for body bags but most are so busy doing shit that they don't even realize it.

National average price of gas in the U.S. surpassed $5 per gallon today for the first time ever, according to GasBuddy.

This is it now.

Nothing else will matter to the American public.  The window for Ukraine has closed.  No one will care about that war.  The economy and especially gas prices will dominate the conversation no matter what the mass media tries to push to the top of the page.

With no relief in sight till next year, the world economy will plunge into a recession...probably a deep recession...that will kill far more people than the war in Ukraine ever will.

This is the type of thing that WILL trigger regional conflict, heightened global tensions and possibly lead to failed states.

Oh and it will lead to catastrophic losses for the Dems this fall. 

Worse for some of my readers?  This is the type of thing that could lead Trump back into office.

The guy was a blowhard, tweeted too much, was nutty as a nut factory but the economy was good, gas was cheap and crime was under control.

In the 2020's I don't think you can ask for more than that.
