Canada is diverting combat vehicles from the factory away from its own troops to Ukraine...
Ukraine's long-standing pleas — and prayers — for advanced Western weapons are beginning to be answered as Canada announced Thursday it plans to send dozens of brand-new armoured personnel carriers to the embattled country. It is part of an overall push by NATO, which has said it will help the eastern European country convert to a modern military kit.At the conclusion of the NATO leaders summit in Madrid, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that Canada is working on finalizing a deal to provide Ukraine with 39 armoured combat support vehicles (ACSVs). They had been destined for the Canadian Army and were in the process of being delivered, but instead will be diverted.
It should be obvious to all.
NATO is at war with Russia.

S&P 500 down 21% in first half of this year. Worst returns since 1970
Its kinda amazing. Biden and company (to include all the politicians of his generation...) all seem to want to recreate the 1970s. Why they would want to recreate such a tumultuous time in US history is beyond me, but they appear to be succeeding. The only thing missing is gas lines.JUST IN - S&P 500 down 21% in 1H, posts worst return since 1970.

Ukraine and Russian engage in a prisoner swap. Ukraine gets back some of it's AZOV troops...
via Reuters
Ukraine on Wednesday carried out its biggest exchange of prisoners of war since Russia invaded, securing the release of 144 of its soldiers, including 95 who defended Mariupol's steelworkers, Ukraine's military intelligence agency said.
The majority of the Ukrainians were badly wounded, suffering from gunshot and shrapnel wounds, blast traumas, burns, fractured bones and amputated limbs, the agency known by the acronym GUR said in a statement on Telegram.
Remember me calling bullshit on the NATO increase from 40K to 300K High Readiness Forces? I was right!
via Washington Post.
Stoltenberg’s announcement caught the top defense officials of many NATO members off guard, leading them to question which of their forces, if any, were being included in the 300,000 figure.
“Maybe it’s number magic?” said one senior European defense official, who, like others, spoke on the condition of anonymity to talk frankly about the confusion.
Several senior European security policymakers said they were taken by surprise, with no advance notice of the plan to expand NATO’s quick-response force from its current size of 40,000 in light of the Ukraine war and Russia’s ongoing military threats to NATO territory.

Spain is the canary in the coal mine of a faltering European economy
I did a blog post where it was stated that certain US officials would risk a global recession and hunger in order to defeat Russia in Ukraine. Seems like they were true to their words. Global recession here we come! I wonder if when all is said and done if everyone cheering now will feel the same after they get destroyed financially and their way of life is changed forever?JUST IN - Inflation in Spain surged to 10.2% in June, much higher than expected and the highest in almost 4 decades.

The EU/US and alot of the world is gonna be screwed on energy for at least another 5 years....
Macron is a canny politician. If he had wanted the information to remain secret, he likely wouldn’t have shared it within listening distance of the sensitive microphones of journalists. We should be grateful to @EmmanuelMacron for his supposed carelessness. pic.twitter.com/0hub8LRIBq

Why 5? Because Biden/Harris have another 2. IF a President with commonsense and not some "green" fanatic is elected then it'll take a couple of years to get energy production up to where it was and a bit more to meet the needs of the economy (assuming we don't have a massive recession that kills demand...which I expect).Biden was counting on Arab nations to produce more oil but a few hours ago French President Macron was overheard telling Biden that the United Arab Emirates is at max capacity & the Saudis can’t produce much more. It appears to be a direct appeal to Biden to produce more oil. pic.twitter.com/vRWJVpn3El

GD Wins Army’s Mobile Protected Firepower Contract
Fucking awesome. The 82nd Airborne will now have more direct fire capability than the entire US Marine Corps. But the bright side is that the Marines can provide recon/counter recon for the Airborne to conduct the actual assault...with US Army Armor providing the follow on forces. Tell me the Stand-In-Force Concept isn't the road to irrelevancy...From @MBeinart22: GD Wins Army’s Mobile Protected Firepower Contract, Receives $1.14 Billion Production Deal https://t.co/dlJk8Brmzj
