I'm not alarmed, not surprised and definitely not outraged. I fully expected this much earlier (even the CIA/DIA/FBI expected as much). War is a two way range. You give outgoing you can't be surprised when you have incoming. We've been bolstering the Ukrainians for months and the Russians have done little to stop the flow. My guess?
I think this has become personal and not professional for both Putin and Biden.
I think Putin will probably unleash some big attack near the election in a bid to raise anger against Biden.
I think some of our allies will get hit too.
Poland better get its cyber game up...I'm pretty sure they're on a target list.
What I wonder is how far will they go against Ukraine. Refineries? Pipelines? Powerplants? I expect all that and more to get hit.

You think I'm the only one with serious misgivings about the war in Ukraine?

FBW commented that I have "Putin's dick in my mouth" because I have serious concerns about the war in Ukraine, ain't gung ho about the fight, believe it has nothing to do with us, I'm annoyed beyond all reason at how Zelensky is being propped up as some kind of second coming, angered by the enormous amount of foreign aid we're pumping into that corrupt nation, pissed off at how they "demand!" weapons instead of ask and numerous other issues. Well I'm not alone. If you go around the internet there are MANY Americans that feel the way I do, and are concerned that the defense of another country with LITTLE/NO strategic implications for the US is dragging us down a rabbit hole along with some of the misguided decision that were made to prop it up. The Ukrainians have suicide bombers?
That's rather chilling in my mind. Dying in combat is one thing but to .... "martyr" (I wonder if we imported this from all our years in the Middle East?) yourself in this fashion?
I thought that type of thing was outside the realm of what Western nations did.
This marks a major change (at least in my mind) of how warfare is conducted that even trumps the rise of the aerial drone.
It also expands on dealing with internal security.

What happens when the war is over and these zealots start going after their own govts for perceived wrongs?
