Look at this map of NATO & explain to me why it takes 30+ nations to contain one..

Exclude the US from this equation. Canada too. Why in the name of all that is holy does it require every Western European nation to contain one. Why would 30 united countries behave as if ONE nation is the big bad wolf coming to kill them all? Why are men/women of SUPPOSED reason pushing the idea that one nation is about invade those 30 nations to take them over (or even one of those 30 realizing that an attack against one is an attack against all)?

Its quite simple.

In order to push the continued funding of Ukraine it is essential that they stoke fear in the heart of the populace.

This is a simple fear tactic and its working perfectly.

So called MEN are quivering in their boots over a scenario that makes sense to no one.  So called MEN with military/economic knowledge are quivering in their boots and repeating this nonsense!

The greatest danger facing the West isn't its lack of morals (although that is a danger), it isn't its lack of financial common sense on a societal level, it isn't its 
laissez faire fair attitude towards criminal behavior.

The greatest danger facing the West is how easily manipulated the population is.

Zelensky talking about demanding Biden bring Ukraine into NATO

This would be a HORRIBLE mistake but the fools in Washington and Brussels are just crazy enough to do it. 

You get the leadership you deserve when you go to the ballot box. 

Leadership gets what they deserve when they push their voters to utilize other boxes.

So many Ukraine backers have said that supporting Ukraine is to defend democracy worldwide.  I hope that if war comes to NATO they're first in line to dodge drones and artillery and some scared ass Russian infantry just trying to get home.

* I would so love to see Singapore's homegrown armor get a workout in combat. No casualities I just want to see how it performs...how it holds up. The Bionix is kinda old, but the Terrex has me intrigued and I'd love to see how the armor package on their Leopard stands up to anti-tank missiles.

Air Defense Missiles are expensive and the Shaheed is cheap as chips....the ADA equation needs to be rebalanced...

I never knew it was this stark. With this being the case then the use of offensive drones is simply common sense. Fill the skies with these things and enemy ground action becomes problematic.  Why Russia isn't mass producing these things like crazy is beyond me but Ukraine is lucky they aren't onto it.

We need lasers or some other type of cheap anti-drone system.  Like yesterday!

I'm gonna recommend you take a look at this yourself.  Not to get a look at the crimes.

We all know that this and MUCH WORSE happens everyday with the powerful in DC and throughout the nation.

What has me spinning is that someone this close to the seat of power would partake in this kind of decadence and be so sloppy.

They all do it but they're at least somewhat careful in how they do it.  Hunter had no fucks to give!

Hunter and Joe aren't the first, won't be the last.  Whether its sexual, financial or moral decadence they all do it.  They damn near revel in it and unfortunately the very journalist that are supposed to report on this trash are involved in it too.  So yeah, we won't hear about it.

In any other form of govt ignorance is bliss.  But it don't work so good when you have leaders of this type running a democracy.

How can a nation whose very existence depends on the good will of benefactor nations make demands? How dare Zelensky make demands to the President of the United States??? He does not know his place! He should be on his knees thanking God for Biden yet he does this? AMAZING!

Disinformation accounts on the Ukraine/Russia war...

 Been reading the comments on the blog and every time I post something from the "Russian" side its labeled as disinformation by my readers.

I am good with that.

What has me spinning is that the same isn't applied to Ukrainian accounts.  I get that some if not most of what I'm getting from Russian sources MIGHT be disinformation but to not apply the same standard to the Ukrainian side is a mistake in my opinion.

My goal is to get a full view of the Ukrainian/Russian war.

You won't get that if you're just reading the Ukrainian side.  So why don't I post the Ukrainian side?  Because everyone here is inundated with that info.  Whether you want it or not, if you're anywhere near military Twitter you get that info.

Its usually cheerleading too which annoys me to no end.  Its quite obvious that the offensive hasn't gone well.  Every alarm bell possible is ringing in Western capitols and in NATO headquarters but we're still hit with rosy projections.

I understand why that is and so do you.  They want to keep morale up in the Western nations and they want continued support of the war.  The fact that they're dressing it up as a fight for democracy helps too, as well as painting Zelensky as a saint and Putin as an omega villain from our most tortured dreams.

I guess the point is that open source ain't pretty.

You gather all possible information, do an analysis of that info (that's why the CIA, DIA, NSA and every other intel outfit has tons of analysts....they 're looking for many opinions from the same data and then suss out which is correct) and arrive at the best conclusion possible.

We don't have armies of analysts so its up to each individual to get the job done.

That's on you.  I give my opinion and try to call balls and strikes.  When I do have a solid idea I give it.  If I don't know I try and make that clear too.

Warfare ain't what you want it to be and ignoring info that isn't favorable to your desire outcome only gives you a momentary reprieve from the truth.

Truth is truth and it eventually wins out despite human attempts at manipulation.

It was "necessary" but looks so terrible in hindsight...we have got to be more selective when it comes to using force

This happened thousands if not a few million times. Looks so terrible in hindsight but it was "necessary" according to the "mission". Having said that looking at those faces we definitely made more than a few anti-American people here. Possible a few terrorists too.

This is my point!

We have got to be more selective when it comes to using force. 

The military is not the answer to every political question with a nation that does not agree with us.  We have to find a better way.

It won't happen in my lifetime, maybe not even my sons lifetime but eventually there might come a generation of Americans that are faced with foreign forces sweeping thru their homes hunting terrorists.

Everyone says Karma is a bitch.  I don't even know if Karma exists but I do know that I've seen enough people do evil shit and then pay a horrible price that their has to be some balancing force in the universe.

Note.  Feel free to disagree.  This is just me musing about things.  I acknowledge my right to be completely wrong about this.

US diplomacy. Symbolism over substance.

How can you negotiate if you won't even listen to what your opponent has to say? How can an agreement be reached if you stance is "my way or the highway"? The state dept is broken beyond recovery. We need a whole new set of diplomats. A purge of the current staff is needed.

Macron has relented. Emergency law coming soon.

 

This is the last thing that Macron wanted to do but events have forced his hand. I thought it would come earlier but he held out. Macron knows that this will spell the end of his presidency and will cause a wave of law & order candidates to come into office. His dream of what France should be is all but dead.
