Australian Army helo goes into the water...

I saw this last night and wanted to wait hoping that we'd get news of the crew being recovered. Still haven't gotten it so I'm assuming that they're lost. RIP to them.

Canadian volunteer in Ukraine tells about churches being used as military bases...

Interesting vid. Got it from Lord Bebo's Twitter page but couldn't embed it so had to download and re-up load it onto the blog. Sounds like he was going thru intake towards the end. He wanted to be an ambulance driver but wound up being a gunner instead? Gotta see the whole vid but apparently the volunteers now are attempting to be a bit pickier in their assignments while running toward the meat grinder (even transporting wounded in this war could be a death sentence).

Having said all that I wonder how many "dual use" facilities there are in Ukraine. How many of those residential buildings are holding HQs, housing troops, ammo depots etc...It is a war of mirrors. Most only see what they desire you to see.

Niger's finance minister given 48 hrs to explain missing finances or face execution...

Wow. We could use a little accountability of this type in the US.

Former Ukrainian Soldier not at all happy with the attack plan (A failed Ukrainian assault east of robotyne)

I think I posted it, but the Ukrainians are experienced fighters but they're INEXPERIENCED when it comes to combined arms ops. Additionally anything above the Company level and things quickly unravel. They have no one that can plan, lead and execute a battalion sized or larger op. That's telling. That means that there is NO WAY this counteroffensive could be successful. Also read that Zelensky doesn't appear to have a plan except to keep sending men into the meatgrinder and to hang on. Kinda makes sense. Except for foreign aid (mostly the US), Ukraine has long ceased to be an independent country. Their ag industry is dead. They have no tax base. They rely on outside support to pay for their govt, military, public services and food. Ukraine as things stand now is a country in name only.  For their sake this war needs to be turned off immediately, the Chinese and anyone else needs to demine the country poste haste and normal trade/rebuilding needs to happen like yesterday.  Even with it ending NOW its gonna take decades to rebuild and that's assuming it can be done at all.  The Russians are gonna face the same issues in territory they control.  The war has been a slog.  The peace is gonna be almost as hard.

More losses for Ukraine's counteroffensive

This is wild! Dippable Pre-Workout! Marines, Soldiers, Sailors, a few Airmen and most Police/Sheriff's depts are gonna be vibrating into the future

This guy is funny as hell, a little goofy but I find him entertaining as fuck. He mentioned Dippable Pre-Workout and I thought he was bullshitting. He wasn't! Store page is here

Wow. This dude would have been lit up...

Chinese Netizens are gonna eat this up.

You got dreams of stealth aircraft penetrating Chinese airspace to hit targets on the mainland? Dream on cowboy!

That is dense and overlapping. Doesn't even count the radars on their ships or artificial islands. Aircraft ain't gonna make it thru that. We're gonna need Space Marines doing an orbital drop to get thru that wall. The real question is why we aren't as well protected. The answer is easy. Cause all our forces (just like the Romans) are "forward" deployed to the frontier, leaving the homeland vulnerable.

15 Leopard MBTs & 20 Bradleys destroyed in one day?

If this is true then Ukraine has basically burned thru all the aid that came pouring in. The idea (again if this is true) that they're able to mount a credible offensive with losses like this are laughable.

Video from Ukraine's 35th Marine Brigade of their advance to Staromaiors'ke with T-80BV tanks, BMPs, and Kirpi MRAPs.

Colombian Army is still hookin & jabbin with FARC rebels..

We are not paying enough attention or taking S. America seriously enough. Colombia has been fighting FARC for awhile now.

Czech armed forces and the NATO Battlegroups

Rand says Taiwan isn't doing what it should to prevent an invasion. MUST READ THREAD!

This irritates to no end but is quite common. The US is spending itself into poverty and those we're seeking to protect AREN'T DOING THEIR PART to defend themselves. You see this shit all over the globe. All these entanglements are costing us more than we're benefiting. Time to bring the troops home from the frontier.

Bradley graveyard...

Looking at the orientation of these vehicles I have to wonder if we've seen this before. The only thing that gives me pause is that we don't see a Leopard in this clip.

So the IRR call up was about Iran, not Ukraine?

Open source folks. Don't blame the messenger and just watch. Definitely don't bitch here.

This is a sin before God. How do you send someone like this to war?

I PRAY that this is untrue. If it is true then it IS a sin before God and whoever signs off on his conscription needs to fry in the deepest darkest parts of hell.

So Ukraine's new, new counteroffensive has begun?

Yeah right. These boys got bogged down, the US is sending replacement armor as fast as it can (but as predicted that well is running dry) and supposedly they're even considering sending F-16's now. They started this thing too early, their tactics were trash, strategically they were stupid and the window has closed for this year. Unless there is an unexplained collapse of the Russian positions (I consider that unlikely...as a matter of fact we're seeing dueling offensives now) we're in a stalemate till after winter.

Head of SBU taking credit for Crimea bridge attack and putting a target on his operators...

The last time I saw some stuff like this was when McRaven was talking shit after the SEALs iced Bin Laden. Its not what you're suppose to do (or what I've been told you're not supposed to do). Personal opinion time. Special Forces, Rangers, MARSOC, USAF Special Ops and others thrived because they remained silent (for the most part...everyone got infected with a "write a book" syndrome), but the SEALs, again in my opinion, took a real beating from the publicity behind that raid. Not to their reputation internationally or in the eyes of the public but I believe to their culture.

The same could easily happen to the SBU.

These guys are at war.  A brutal war and if they're caught they're gonna suffer tremendously.

Oh and trust that the Russians are hunting them and are looking to take a scalp.  Maybe literally.
