How the Strong Commandant System Caught Up with the Marine Corps

A combatant commander with a one region view ascended to the rank of Commandant of the Marine Corps and used the weaknesses in our system to destroy it. After the debacle that is Berger finally settles in and even his sycophants can no longer defend his "vision" we'll finally see roadblocks built to prevent wholesale, single view, single region change by a zealot mascquerading as Commandant from destroying OUR Marine Corps.

Poland wants this fight bad! Sends 2K troops to Belarus border...

You put that many troops on the border and you can expect some rogue commander on either side to dig his fangs in and do some stupid shit. Poland wants this fight bad...and the NATO charter will be the tool to turn Europe into a battlefield. I know everyone is thinking 32 nations against 1 will be easy but the risks involved in such will be tragic for everyone.

Note. Work is crazy and so is the heat. Blogging is gonna be sloooower than normal for the next few. Getting back into the swing of things after going down with the ankle fracture in the middle of this heat is kicking my ass.

Ukraine thanks Australia for their Bushmasters...

Weird naming of a vehicle from an American perspective. Whenever I think of "bushmaster" I always think of an AR brand.

Sunday Weird. A woman who lives like a horse because of her love for horses.

Sex should be interesting. Bet she's also suprisingly powerful too. She's doing super mountain climbers. She must be a beast in the gym. Scratch that. If she gets her mental health together she would crush crossfit.

Zelensky tell his diplomats that in the coming months pressure will mount to find a negotiated peace.

Why does Zelensky fear peace?

Niger’s junta asks for help from Russian group Wagner

 via AP

Niger’s new military junta has asked for help from the Russian mercenary group Wagner as the deadline nears for it to release the country’s ousted president or face possible military intervention by the West African regional bloc, according to an analyst.

The request came during a visit by a coup leader, Gen. Salifou Mody, to neighboring Mali, where he made contact with someone from Wagner, Wassim Nasr, a journalist and senior research fellow at the Soufan Center, told The Associated Press. He said three Malian sources and a French diplomat confirmed the meeting first reported by France 24.

“They need (Wagner) because they will become their guarantee to hold onto power,” he said, adding that the group is considering the request. A Western military official, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to comment, told the AP they have also heard reports that the junta asked for help from Wagner in Mali.

Here

I find this a bit stunning.  ECOWAS gave the Junta a deadline to return the previous govt to power.

I don't recall EVER hearing about this type of activity on the continent.  Unfortunately coups happen all the time and most never result in a group of nations intervening.

I almost suspect that there is an outside force acting here.

I'm pretty sure the Junta agrees or else they wouldn't be seeking out Wagner's assistance.

The amount of goodwill the Russians have gained in Africa should shock and stun the West.  If the French do attempt to intervene (acting with ECOWAS) and drags the US into some type of peacekeeping operation (the UN hasn't been seen but they'll be the cover used if the French act) then the stage will be set for the super power fight in Africa I've been predicting (maybe proxy but a fight still).

If this vid is true then Ukraine is prepping the public for its blame game....

This is from Lord Bebo and I know alot of you don't like his page which is why I added the qualifier in the title. Having said that, if this is true and if the Ukrainians made this video then they're prepping the international public to blame not the EU, not NATO but the US (which is its biggest contributor) for its failures.

We've been here before so no big deal and everyone that has a brain cell knows how jacked up Ukraine is BUT these constant demands for new weapons and even MORE money when they've failed this badly irks me to no end.

Like the idiot I believe he is, Zelensky set the bar so high for victory that there was no way he could achieve it.

Instead of being thoughtful and considerate while dealing with the stress of leading his nation, he instead basked in the new found fame letting his arrogance rule the day.

I personally believe that Ukrainian forces are nearing collapse if they don't call a halt to this so called counter offensive.

What they're now doing to fill their ranks is bordering on the obscene.

Instead of working on the blame game they should consolidate their forces, hope for an early winter and rebuild their Army.

They should also hope that the Saudis are successful in their effort to lead peace talks.

Lessons From Ukraine: Why America Shouldn’t Fight for Taiwan

 via National Interest

While current U.S. policy should prioritize diplomacy with Beijing and arm Taipei to deter aggression, it is vital to plan for such a contingency in order to respond wisely rather than allow emotion to guide policy. The U.S. response to the ongoing war in Ukraine provides insight into the prudence and folly of certain reactions.

Military restraint is the most critical lesson of the U.S. response to the war in Ukraine, and U.S. leaders would be wise to allow the same logic to guide a response to a Chinese attack on Taiwan. The Biden administration, and European allies located much closer to Ukraine, rightfully concluded that direct military conflict with Russia is not in the cards. While the United States is sympathetic to the unfortunate circumstances Ukrainians find themselves in, the war is not America’s to fight. Ukraine does not ultimately warrant sacrificing American lives in a conventional conflict with Russia, nor is it worth risking nuclear escalation.

Likewise, Americans may be sympathetic to the very real threat Taiwan faces from a much larger neighboring power. However, a U.S.-China war would bring about the same unacceptable risks of high casualties and an acute threat of nuclear exchange. Therefore, as the United States has avoided direct military conflict with Russia on behalf of Ukraine, it must also avoid direct military conflict with China on behalf of Taiwan.

Here

They're taking baby steps but they're coming around to my position.

The greatness of US military power is acknowledged worldwide.  WE MUST accept its limitations too!

Next on the agenda?  Turn off the war in Ukraine, rebuild the Wilson doctrine/shore up our own backyard (which will end this crazy illegal migration), bring home the troops from the frontier and only deploy them where it is necessary for our own interests--not just to reassure allies that won't foot the bill to defend themselves.

Is it just me or are we getting hints of fanaticism from members of the Chinese military?

Whoever tweeted this didn't get it. He's not talking about lawndarting, that pilot is talking about ramming another airplane or doing the kamikaze thing to a ship or whatever. The frogman has me spinning. Dude is talking about clearing mines with their bodies? Personally in all of the above I think I would work out a different way but that's just me.

On a sidenote, we are so wrapped up in the tech of the Chinese that we're missing the martial spirit that they've built up.  I think the above is a bit of bravado, but they will have "true believers" in their ranks that will nail it to the floorboard and not quit.

Geez! How big is the Space X booster?

This thing is so powerful that it could affect surrounding communities? How powerful is this thing? Gonna look this up but its gotta be close to Saturn V power (or more)!

We do it over there, they're starting to do it over here. Chinese and Russian naval force conducted a patrol near coast of Alaska

We all knew this was coming. The shock will be when they start operating in the Gulf Of Mexico and the East coast of the US. It's coming and our naval force just ain't ready. Even our Coast Guard is conducting global operations now. What will happen when the homeland needs to be protected from incursions? Oh and that's the surface fleet. I wonder if we have threat subs operating close ashore already.

Well that explains the excitement over the TU-95s....Caliber cruise missiles inbound to Ukraine...

No new reports of the Ukrainian breakthrough...

 I'm a bit miffed.

Yesterday we got word that the Ukrainians had broken thru the first Russian defensive belt.

Today?

Nothing.

Nada.

Zilch.

No one is talking.

Why would they make that boast yesterday and then its radio silence today.

Could it be propaganda?

Ukraine is nervous because there are now 11 TU-95s airborne...

Ukrainian Armed Forces break through first line of defence and reach intermediate line in some southern areas

 via Yahoo

Hanna Maliar, Deputy Defence Minister, has reported that Ukrainian defenders had broken through the first line of defence of the Russians and moved to the intermediate line in some areas in the south of the country.

Source: Maliar during the air of the national joint 24/7 newscast

Quote: "If we talk about the south, as on the Bakhmut front, our forces continue to carry out offensive actions, making their way through the serious resistance of the enemy – continuous artillery shelling, mining.

But our troops in the south in some places have broken through the first line of defence and moved to the intermediate line. And there they are now faced with the fact that the enemy has actually built engineering fortifications on the main, key commanding heights. This, of course, complicates the movement of our troops and the combat operations themselves.

Here

This is an interesting post.

If I followed the "standards" that many insist on then I'd have to wait till it was broadcast by legacy media, luckily enough for my readers this is an open source blog so we take in all info and attempt to separate the good from the bad.

What ya'll think?  Real or fake?

Unrestricted naval warfare in the Black Sea?

Despite the justification this will surely result in retaliation...or rather should, but I have to wonder. Despite all the howls Putin has been quite restrained. Kyiv has not been pummeled in a way that I would expect to this point (doubt me, don't, just ask the folks of Baghdad what that really looks like). Still this could lead to unrestricted naval warfare in the Black Sea. I have no idea what that would look like.
