Ukrainian forces just took training accidents to a new level...

It's probably par for the course when you have a full national mobilization of men during wartime but this is crazy. Having said that I wonder what the US would look like under a full mobilization. Probably pretty nasty. It would solve the crime problem. Draft inmates and ship them overseas. You'd have to treat them as a threat to your own forces but you could do wave attacks. Kidding not kidding. That would probably be the case if it ever got that bad.

The US ignores small and poor countries while China creates partnerships with them

If you're not alarmed you should be. Forget Chinese military power. It's there DIPLOMATIC POWER that should be scaring the shit outta you. Outside of the West (European countries for the most part), the US has ignored the poor countries of the world. The Chinese aren't. They are rapidly making friends with MOST of the world's populations. We have got to get our shit together. Our biggest seller has been military alliances/gear. Most of these countries don't give a fuck about that. Its economics that drive things. Not global warming. Not what we consider important social issues. The US diplomatic effort is fucked beyond recognition and because of it we're losing before the first shot has been fired.

CoffeJoeJava, a reader here, called for this long ago. I jumped on his bandwagon. Marine and Navy Air obviously have been fighting it and we once again find oursevles behind the Turks AND Chinese. Why do we continuously come up with concepts only to trashbin them, our enemies pick them up and we scramble to catchup! Berger didn't provide bold leadership. He provided asinine change. We need to take what works and push, not try for idiotic transformation that leads no where.

The Ukrainians have been safeguarding their artillery and using it smartly. To think that a Caesar has been taken out means that the fighting must be extremely fierce. God bless the troops on both sides. Sucks to be pawns for the elite.

I don't think that many Americans are fully realizing the threat that the BRIC organization is to our economic future.

In any economic organization it eventually becomes insular.  By that I mean that they will engage in trade with each other at the expense of those outside the organization.

Look at the Tweet above.  Half the worlds population.  Most of the world's top oil producers.  Half ot the top natural gas reserves.

You can be all about green energy but the reality is that its a long way off till or even if it becomes a reality.  Nuclear power has become a boogey man so fossil fuels is where its at for at least another 100 years (unless the politics changes and I think it MUST).

You say that they only compose 37% of the global GDP?  That will change and change fast.  Are you looking at what's going on in Africa?  The age of colonialism is rapidly ending.  Suddenly the Africans realize what they have.  All those precious earth minerals and uranium that we won't harvest in our own countries are gonna cost an arm and a leg.

You can bet your ass that oil exploration will soon come and the people are tired of the constant wars and terrorism.  Iron hands will bring peace and a bit of prosperity (of course the corruption will remain rampant for awhile but that too will eventually be sorted out).

We're on the wrong side of a losing hand.

Arrogance led us to a focus on only the West and now that bill will come thru.

We still have a small window to right ourselves, stop pushing our jacked up values on others and start real diplomacy before we lose it all.

Confidence is not high and if I'm right and we don't get it done then we will see our standard of living decline.  Maybe not for my generation but for our children's.

USAF Special Warfare is having a minor revolt on their hands...trouble is brewing....

I don't know how many of you have been keeping up with what's going on in USAF Special Warfare but they're having a minor revolt and trouble is brewing over training and standards. Seems as if they're about to scale down some of their schools so that they won't be able to keep up with other Special Ops units and the standards are being lowered. That's my view from the outside and you'll have to either dig into whats online or talk to one of the bubbas to get a better view but that appears to be the rub of things.

When you have a member talking about considering other SOF units then things are bad.

If you have better visibility on what's going on over there I'd love to hear it.

The Biden Administration continues to quietly supply Ukraine with aid...MSM ignores it...

I consider the aid packages and the timing of them to be the best indicator of how this war is going. When we see a glut of aid headed to Ukraine then we know things aren't going well. Guess what. We're seeing a glut of aid headed there. I keep hearing clowns on this page talk about how this is such a great investment. IT IS NOT a great investment if you're putting the security of the US at risk for Ukraine. Alot of foreign readers in the EU are pushing the meme too. Well guess what sports fans! The munitions, vehicles, and other stockpiles that are being rushed to Ukraine will mean that when you start ill advised adventures in Africa to restore your puppet regimes then you won't have the US to draw support for. Libya kicked European ass with regard to munitions. You make a run at the countries that have kicked you out recently and its gonna be worse. Long story short? Ukraine is not worth the treasure that we've wasted on them. We have issues in the US that need our focused attention.

Ukrainians are starting to lay the ground for a failed counteroffensive while demanding more money for future efforts

Just plain wow.

I am more and more convinced that the powers that be in Washington, foreign policy and security circles and think tanks live in a bubble where no outside voices will be heard.

Do they really believe that the American people are up for a 5 to 10 year war in Europe?  Do they really believe that the American people will happily fund such an effort?  The best question though is HOW CAN WE AFFORD TO DO SO WHEN OUR OWN WAR STOCKS ARE DEPLETED!

I've said before and I'll say it again.

Ukrainians are reading their own press releases.  They actually by the line that they're fighting for the freedom of Europe and the US.

They aren't.

If someone comes after the US then we got that.  We are more than capable of fighting for our own freedom.

But funding other people's?

That shit has been old for a long time.

Emergency Helicopter Crash In Florida

God bless the fallen. A quick question for the aviators in the crowd. Why don't helicopter pilots land as soon as they know they have a problem? I can't get the image of the CH-46 that was hit in Iraq and kept flying for awhile before catastrophe hit. Why not put down immediately? Not blaming anyone. They were fighting for their lives so no criticism can be leveled. I just don't know the "why" behind things. Oh and I know that fixed wing pilots try and sort out the problem but with helicopters it seems like things are a bit trickier by magnitude.

Get ready America. Gas prices are about to spike to hell just in time with hurricane season picking up...

 

Wow. With this happening just ONE hurricane in the Gulf that affects Texas or Louisiana will have prices above 7 dollars a gallon in California and around 4.50 in the rest of the states (or worse). I wish this was sabotage cause if this is just by chance then we're extremely vulnerable to outside forces that actually decide to make a run at us.
