What gives? Just a month ago we couldn't send ATACMS because we needed them in case of war with China...now we're sending them????

The desperation is obvious. They're endangering the security of the USA to prop up the Ukrainians for a political victory. This counteroffensive has failed but they so need to make points with the public that they will bankrupt us and destroy our security.

Where it the UN? Where is the US? Seems as if we were really interested in "peace and stability" we would be flooding the zone with a major diplomatic effort. This is a brewing conflict, we can all see it coming (its open source) and yet we here nothing from the major powers or the international community.

The US, Japan, S. Korea, Australia and maybe even Singapore will be tracking this N. Korean sub....maybe all at the sametime....

Whoever crews and skippers this N. Korean sub better be true believers. If they're ever sent on a wartime mission and open ANY of the doors on this sub they'll hear incoming torpedoes probably from attack subs from every nation in the title, not to include air assets. They will be on a true suicide mission. The terrible thing is that its probably gonna be noisey and easily tracked too. From what I gather from the naval guys is that this is old tech.

The problem for all of the above is that BRICS is turning into an economic AS WELL AS a quasi military alliance.

Which means that the more ammo they send to Russia the more tech they'll get which will help the Chinese because the N. Koreans become the wild card, the Chinese become the mediators and lion tamers to keep the Norks under control and our allies in the Pacific have a wild card to worry about instead of the big bad Chinese.

Oh and if you didn't notice, the Saudis are cutting oil production which is already causing diesel prices to spike which means consumer prices will spike which will put a potential recession back on the table for the American people.

BRICS is a threat.  Policy makers should have taken it seriously.

Yeah. I've been thinking about buying thermals for work. Now I know I gotta get a handheld version. This is just crazy. Tell me you wouldn't have walked past that bastard without a thought. This isn't just applicable for urban combat either. It does have a FEW applications for law enforcement (although when you think about all the homeless everywhere and the dangers just trying to do a pat down without being infected/stuck with some disease then I guess they can hide in plain sight if they're willing to get grungy enough).

Claire Daily just became a hero and asks an important question. Why is calling for peace so repugnant to the powers that be with regard to Ukraine?

 

I never thought that the idea of a cease fire or peace talks would be considered morally reprehensible to anyone but in this brutal war it is. Oh and its not the guys caught up in the meat grinder that are saying more, more, more, no its the people in the cheap seats. The people that are safe at home while other people are doing the hard thing. I don't get it but we're here. Stoltenberg is a clown. The guy sitting besides him laughs like a fucking hyena with that old punch line of Russia being the second strongest Army in Ukraine. NEVER ONCE did he address anything Daily said. All he hit her with is memes. We're being led by idiots. No. Its worse than that. We're led by a whole legion of betas that are trying to be hard thru the suffering of others. I despise them all.

Need the backstory on why Ukraine is closing churches by force...

I need the backstory on this one. If the reason isn't valid then I have to wonder where the evangelicals are. Oh wait. They talk the good talk about standing for Jesus but tucked tail when the govt closed churches without a whimper. Organized religion is a fraud. It's mostly just another money making scheme. Sorry but that's how I feel. Go to the hood. You'll see a church on every corner but never anyone willing to call the police to help identify a drug dealer, killer etc (same applies in other communities too). But on Sunday you'll hear them talking about funding the church so that they can do God's mission. FUCKING SAD.

Another Billion for Ukraine? I guess our children's children will be paying for a corrupt foreign govt...

How about we do this. Everyone in favor of funding Ukraine can donate to a special fund. Those of us that want to take care of America and American problems INSIDE our own country first can continue to pay taxes as normal. Don't mix the two and let all the zealots put their money where their mouths are.

If they try to shut down everything again because of covid it'll wreck our children, our economy and many of the weak in our society

 I hope to God they don't try it again but I fear that they will.

I don't know if foreigners realize what a knife edge our society is on right now. 

The divisions are real.  The frustration at what's going on is mounting.  People are tired of the foolishness.

If they attempt to shut things down it will lead to a situation that literally scares the shit outta me.  I'm talking about MASSIVE civil disobedience and I really believe that the politicians that push it will be seriously targeted by radical portions of our society.

Things could get real dicey.  So dicey that the National Guard won't be enough in some areas.

I hope they're smart enough to realize this but confidence is not high.
