Alaska based Coast Guard aviators showcase rescue demonstration during multi-agency hoist symposium...Photos by Alejandro Pena

Note. Time to upgrade the Coast Guard. First we need a division of the force. A law enforcement branch that will remain under homeland security and a military side that is partnered full time with the Navy. With this division you will see the Coast Guard acquire new capabilities such as long range large scale rescue at sea that will require new equipment...LIKE SEA PLANES!!! They will also get the older Burkes that are life extended and dump all the short ranged helos in favor of at least BlackHawks. Current cutters will go with the law enforcement branch along with the short range helos. Future ice breakers will go with the military side of the house. A minor reorganization will add combat power to the Navy and will provide the Coast Guard with the ability to conduct TRUE grey zone operations with the ability to flex into combat ops while still protecting the homeland.

Where did this fight between Thailand and Cambodia come from?

I never even got a whiff of an upcoming fight between Thailand and Cambodia. They've always had borden tensions but they were moderated and controlled...until now. I checked open sources and no one else saw it coming either. What happened? What pushed them over the line into an actual fight? Oh and everyone, including me, believes Thailand will win if it escalates .... BUT, if this is a prolonged conflict and China decides it wants to play then all bets are off. A sudden influx of high tech weapons could change everyones calculus.

This is so sad. Marine Corps tries to ride Army shine on their (the US Army's) successful firing of the SM-6

 via USNI News

“We validated mobile command and control at scale — integrating joint and multinational fire assets to apply decisive combat power at a time and place of our choosing. That’s how MRF-D operates as a stand-in force: lethal, agile and always in position to act with allies and partner forces,” said Col. Jason C. Armas, commanding officer of MRF-D 25.3 in a release,

Dude!

Just!

Shut!

The!

Fuck!

Up!

The pathetic grab at getting a piece of the Army's shine is here.
