This has been my fear. BOTH SIDES are shouting outrage over free speech and now we're seeing (well we've been seeing it in bits and drabs all over the US) toward EU and especially UK style censorship. You say the wrong shit on the internet that offends the other side and suddenly you see a police unit outside your house ready to put you in cuffs. It will be extreme words at first and then before you know it you shout about a simple political disagreement and you're looking at years in jail while REAL creatures are out running free and rampaging across the land.

It was once so simple.  Don't like something someone says then you tell them to get the fuck.  You read something you don't like then don't go back to that source.

But naw.  Americans are becoming so pussy that we need daddy govt to handle the bad man....yell to momma to make them stop.

Meanwhile we're all dancing like puppets and the govt/political/economic elite are pulling the strings to keep the masses stirred up so we miss the madness that is going on in places of power.

We're in a much bigger fight and getting angry about shit won't help.  Uncontrolled emotions in a fight will get you killed.  We're in a fight and the REAL bad guys are playing with people's emotions.

An isolated Israel in a hostile Middle East that is being made more hostile due to actions in Gaza?  He's got to be a nihilist.  It's the only thing that makes sense.

The part about having "autarkic" features is puzzling to me.  I had to look it up but it basically means self sufficiency on steroids.  I just don't know how that's possible for a country that size plus its location.  That does explain why he wants the Palestinians out of Gaza though.

Sadly it looks like he's trying to single handedly destroy the nation of Israel.  Looks like the citizens of that nation are gonna have to act before its too late.  They need to act not to save Hamas but to save the Jewish state from a guy that is acting like a madman.  Either that or his own personal religious crusade.

Two things about the NMESIS. The first is that I can't believe they're actually using a video controller to make the thing move. I mean SERIOUSLY!!! Would have been better to extend the damn thing, keep the cab for a driver and put on another set of wheels. We got to talk about the right wing cancel culture going on today.  Yeah I know the argument.  "You have a right to free speech but with that comes the right to the consequences".  Sounds good when you're not target...or rather your side is not the target.

I remember when Covid-19 skeptics were getting run out of town and losing their jobs.  Outrage swept the land.  Hell I remember when the same happened on any number of issues.

So many on the right are yelling that turn around is fair play.

My point is that one side has to stand on what's RIGHT, not convenient or feels good.  I thought that was the side of the right (well to an extent...not the far right racist idiots out there).

I hope you're getting what I'm putting down but if not then let me give you a note a reader gave me.  I won't tell you his name but he's says it much better than me...oh and he's right wing, served, serves his nation to this day and seems to be a real good dude (although I've never met him.  I won't use his name cause I know how the internet is...

First, thank you for continuing to write. This is something I thought of writing on the open comment posts but I was just curious what you thought and not in the mood to deal with a comment section.

When you asked about thoughts and apprehensions regarding outing those who celebrated the murder of Kirk, I admit that my first response was that I would not want to be working around anyone who held those views and was comfortable expressing them openly. I have to deal with a large number of employees and we occasionally have to let someone go for making a threatening remark. It is a policy choice but to separate someone from their employment because of a stupid comment is hard. Whether they should lose their jobs or not, I am not sure. It has been on my mind since you posited the question.

Since then a news story popped up that really made me question things.

When the news released the second narco speed boat that was destroyed, the same people loudest about the outrage of celebrating the death of an ideological opponent celebrated the death of the cartel members. I am not classing them the same and think the damage drugs and cartels do probably warrants forceful intervention but it made me cringe just as much as the “snuff” videos released by Ukraine and celebrated online do.

Ya know when I first started thinking that even on subjects I support you can go too far?

The first is the cheering of the snuff videos that the Ukrainians were putting out. I just thought ... these are the people we're supporting (forget all the other issues I have with this thing)?  They're putting out videos of men dying for all the world to see.  Yeah I know we have done the same but we cut that shit out cause of the blowback.  That was early war shit to get support but luckily we knew when to knock it off.

The second was the Israeli-Hamas war.  I supported the IDF in their campaign full force after the atrocities of Oct 7th.  Then fucking Netanyahu acted like he's willing to destroy his military and his economy because he didn't know when to turn it off.  Instead of going after Hamas he's going after the civilian population.  Dude has to learn when enough is enough.

This current thing is like I never thought it could happen here.  I've been watching what's going on in the UK and the police are arresting people for Facebook posts.

Narcan Weaponized

 I always thought NARCAN was a 'dream drug'.  Someone is overdosing and you use it and you can bring them back from near death.  Used it on one guy...well we had to use several doses of it...and I was shocked to see him come back.  Thought for sure he was dead right there.  The aftermath was a bit shocking.  Dude recovered and the first thing out of his mouth was that we "fucked up the high he was looking for".  Amazing shit.  

What I didn't know is that NARCAN could be weaponized.  Check out this passage from Zero Hedge.

The San Francisco Standard, in a report shared by ABC7 News, details how some residents frustrated with open drug use are allegedly using Narcan not to save lives, but to inflict harm.

"A couple of instances I heard was someone was sleeping in U.N. Plaza and they basically felt somebody putting this plastic nozzle up their nose and then they woke up to crazy withdrawals and the person was telling them that they couldn't sleep in the plaza," said SF Standard reporter David Sjoestedt. "And, the allegation is that this wasn't somebody who thought they were overdosing, it was somebody who wanted them to move."

But this is the kicker and I didn't know that it could be used to cause harm if you're not loaded to the gills...

 Sjoestedt explained that Narcan can trigger immediate and severe withdrawal symptoms: “a lot of pain, anxiety, throwing up, and wild temperature fluctuations.” A UCSF health expert told the SF Standard that misusing the drug in this way should be considered assault.

Ok. Let me be clear.

It is not ok to "enjoy the death" of anyone.  Spewing hatred against a person that you don't know but just disagree with politically is fucked up.

But we're seeing something else now.

We're seeing the right going after people's job because of their "speech".  No matter how outrageous that speech is its still jacked up to "out them" to their employer to get them fired.

If you straddle the middle like I do (I think I'm middle of the road, perhaps slightly right of center), then you see outrageous stuff from both sides.

Someone needs to tell EVERYONE to knock it off.  This shit is getting out of hand.
