Two stuck C-130's at a makeshift airfield? Tell me the Rangers were there without saying it out loud. Wonder who else went. Delta/ST-6? One of those outfits most definitely. MARSOC? Not sure at all. Maybe if the fight got big enough (which is why I want a good definition of a "big" firefight..especially for these groups). The outlier for me are the Air Force units. Red Horse dudes aren't considered Special Ops but this is supposed to be their thing. Air Force Security Forces to guard the airfield? Maybe but I doubt it. They'd just use what's left of the Special Ops dudes to do that. Combat Controllers were certainly there. Air Force Special Recon? I think so. Combat Weather? Only if they needed more shooters and they're Special Ops qualified.🇺🇸🇮🇷 In Iran, at the location where U.S. forces established a makeshift airstrip to carry out the evacuation of American Special Operations forces and the recovered pilot, two C-130 transport aircraft that had landed became stuck in the sand.

How do you define a "heavy" firefight?
A modern day squad can put down some impressive fire. At what point does it become a "heavy" firefight. Asking cause I REALLY DON'T KNOW!BREAKING: 🔴

Now reports are that he made it out and we have our guy. Citizen journalism is far from perfect. Waiting for the "legacy" media to confirm

OK the second crewmember was given shelter by "allied" Iranians. Vicious clashes between TRAP/CSAR personnel and IRGC forces
Every villager needs to be given asylum. They saved one of ours, we save them. It's only proper. Oh and we need to get this over with. Actually putting hands on our people and getting this war done.BREAKING: First video shows heavy clashes between USAF CSAR teams and IRGC Basij militants attempting to capture the second F-15E crew member who had been given shelter by villagers in Kuh-e-Siah, Koohdasht county, Iran. What is the deal with us not having found our second aviator???
You read the title so you know the question.
I'm a layman so I don't know but I thought those bubbas had transponders or whatever you call the apple device that lets you track your shit and sat phones so they could be found if shot down and at least talk to HQ.
Additionally we have so many assets in the area that I just can't wrap my brain around the idea that we don't where he/she is.
Could a faction have captured him? Even if that is the sad possibility we have damn near a Ranger Battalion in the region along with Delta or Seal Team 6 and around 5K Marines that can perform perimeter security if captured.
If they died during ejection then we should have the body.
I just don't get this.
If this joker is deep in Iran having to escape and evade then God bless him. That's got to be a rough ride.
Either way I'm kinda shocked we haven't yanked him back yet.

We've used up so much of warstock on Iran that NOW is the time for China to attack Taiwan (if I were them)
This is kinda a good news bad news story in my view. First it shows just how low a stock pile we had and how much we drain ourselves fighting these minor wars (no war is minor but you get the idea). We've SUPPOSEDLY been gearing up to fight China (which is foolish on its face....we have too many obligations as it is we've got to prioritize) but Ukraine has been milking us dry, the European allies in the support of Ukraine have been milking us dry and the Oct 7th war that Israel fought sunk us to horrible levels.🇺🇸🇮🇷BREAKING | According to Bloomberg The U.S. campaign against Iran is expected to use nearly its entire stock of JASSM-ER stealth cruise missiles, drawing heavily from reserves allocated for other regions.

The Chinese are using their robot dogs as part of squad attacks in urban territory. Meanwhile we're focused on robotic mules & tank replacements. Our infantry is gonna be in trouble
Tell me watching this short vid doesn't chill your bones a bit. Even worse? We don't have anything close to equivalent. We're focusing on robotic mules as an infantry aid. They're focusing on robotic dogs that can act as point me in urban and I imagine jungle terrain. The previous video showed swarming attacks but give every Chinese squad one of the robot dogs and unless we kill it at distance we're in for a rough ride. The future is terrifying, we’re casually watching Kill Cams in IRL. pic.twitter.com/AGDbfH64Ac
