2. Omicron is resulting in 10x fewer hospitalizations than prior waves in S. Africa.

I see a HUGE ray of sunshine in this Omicron variant. We will all get it. It's mild. Because we will all get it we will finally achieve herd immunity. Covid will remain but will not be the crazy killer that we feared (unless we see a mutation from hell) and will finally be treated like another variation of the cold.

That unless I mentioned is huge.

One thing is certain.

Our response to covid has been as damaging or more than the actual virus. Societies around the world are fracturing because of it.

I haven't posted it but people in nations all over Europe are protesting restrictions (Australia too).

Only Africa and Asia seem to be continuing in a semblance of normalcy (while dealing with their own restrictions).

It seems this virus is exposing how (forgive me) soft our societies (Western) have become.

Stiff Upper Lip.

Just another day.

Do work and get it done.
