USNORTHCOM statement regarding protection of federal property and personnel in the Los Angeles Area

PETERSON SPACE FORCE BASE, Colo. – By direction of Secretary of Defense and in coordination with U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), approximately 2,000 California Army National Guard soldiers have been placed under federal command and control in a Title 10 status to support the protection of federal personnel and federal property in the greater Los Angeles area.

As USNORTHCOM’s land component command, U.S. Army North stood up Task Force 51, with a two-star general, as the ground command and control element over the Title 10 forces. At this time, there are approximately 300 members of the California Army National Guard’s 79th Infantry Brigade Combat Team deployed at the following locations in the greater Los Angeles area: Los Angeles, Paramount, and Compton, California.

Additionally, approximately 500 Marines from 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines at Twentynine Palms, California, are in a prepared to deploy status should they be necessary to augment and support the DoD’s protection of federal property and personnel efforts.

USNORTHCOM will provide more information as units are identified and deployed.

This bullshit in Los Angeles has all the hallmarks of George Soros doing his thing again...

Someone in the financial crimes division of the FBI or Secret Service needs to follow the money on these "protests". I don't think they're organic. I believed they're organized with some SERIOUS financial backing. TRACK IT DOWN!

Is the Israeli Army breaking down after the prolonged fighting in Gaza?

 via Middle East Monitor

The Israeli army is facing growing logistical and mechanical challenges amid the prolonged war in Gaza, with mounting technical failures affecting its tanks, armored vehicles, and weapons, according to Israeli media reports on Friday, Anadolu reports.

The daily Maariv quoted soldiers, company and battalion commanders, and senior officers as saying that military units operating in Gaza are increasingly hampered by worn-out equipment and a lack of spare parts.

ā€œThe 7th Armored Brigade reported Thursday serious difficulties in securing tank spare parts,ā€ Maariv reported. ā€œKey components like engines, tracks, and control systems are being depleted from the army’s stocks, while other parts are simply unavailable.ā€

A senior officer from the brigade, who was not named, told the daily: ā€œWe have been in a state of war for nearly two years in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria, and now again in Gaza. The vehicles are deteriorating rapidly, constantly moving from one mission to another.ā€

ā€œNo one was prepared for the possibility of such a long war. Every component has a lifespan, and we are reaching those limits,ā€ he added.

The issue, Maariv noted, is not isolated to the 7th Brigade but affects all regular army units, including armored, artillery, and infantry divisions.

Here

I was worried about this.

What has me spinning is that the issues facing Israel aren't being widely reported. I've been concerned about their economy and have been more than irked by the number of nations that are lining up to sanction them (well...kinda irked...sanctions have been so over used that they no longer make sense anymore), but to add to the that issue you now have material issues with the IDF?

The war hawks say to keep pushing so that Hamas doesn't rebuild.  I think that a pause is needed so the IDF can rebuild...along with their economy and to give their conscription force a break.

Peace, ie. a pause in fighting is not a bad thing.

SecDef prepared to send US Marines to Los Angeles if the National Guard falters...

Interesting.

I stated that the Guard should consider their move to assist ICE in large scale roundups of illegals as a combat mission.

The incident in LA proves that out.

I know many here have worked with local law enforcement while in uniform (I have) and trust and believe that when Marines show up, everyone hardens up.

The troublemakers better go to ground cause Marines aren't gonna half step...oh and they better get their communication right.  Cover me to a rifle squad might have rounds going down range when they don't intend that.

The US Army is going the way of the Marine Corps..."painfully light" & the same controversy we have has now spread to them

Painfully light? Utterbullshit. A former Army Commander said it right. THIS IS UNILATERAL DISARMAMENT! Unarmored vehicles in an environment of precision artillery and the answer the big brains in the Pentagon have come up with is to make our ground forces LIGHTER, unable to engage enemy forces on the ground, vulnerable from the air and no way to evacuate the wounded/resupply units? The Army is going thru the same shit the Marine Corps has. I need to buy stock in a body bag manufacturer. We might win the air/sea battle but our ground forces are going to be eviscerated.

D-Day. @Goons Up Twitter Page has done a good job of covering the event.

D-Day.

Alot of people talk about historic events these days and they're just passing fancies.  Not D-Day.  It was historic.  Heroism was on full display.  Hopefully our nation never forgets.

I've scoured the net looking for someone that captured the flavor of the day and came up empty.  That is till I hit upon @Goons Up Twitter Page.  Go there and get a history lesson.

To the dudes @Goons Up?  Great job!

20K National Guard troops are preparing to assist in an "unprecedented" immigration crackdown...per Stars & Stripes

Hmm.  I support this.

BUT!

I hope they're prepared for violence.  They are going to be wading into some murky waters in the big cities of America.

The National Guard better view this as a combat mission in my opinion.
