The Pacific is the "priority" theater?

I find this twitter post interesting. I've heard of China being our "pacing threat", but never that the Pacific is the "priority theater". The verbage about our tilt to China is the new rage in the Pentagon but I have yet to see any action to follow thru (sorry but the Marine Corps Force Design 2030, even if conducted in the most optimistic way, will only be a sad and probably sorry side show). Are we seeing the new "hotness" without substance in the Pentagon?

Never knew this was a thing. A quick Google showed NATO actually has a course on this. Here. Just don't get it. All the years of the USMC having MEU (SOC) and basically doing nothing (with the exception of the shootdown of the US pilot) its all been a "normal" MEU world (remember the adhoc MEB that was built during the invasion of Afghanistan was composed of "normal" MEUs)...kinda makes me wonder what additional missions are being called for with this designation. Oh and the British Navy is fucked, proper fucked. Most of their ships aren't capable of going.

Sad but true. We can't keep up with Chinese shipbuilding/commissioning...

The Chinese are putting more ships into service in one year than we will in five. We can't keep up with that so what do we do? I have no idea but one thing that might work is missiles on top of missiles on top of missiles. As much as it hurts to say the Marine Corps should dump Force Design 2030 (that doesn't hurt), but should switch the two LHDs that don't have well decks to drone carriers with a full loadout of drones that take on the antiship missile and fill them to the gills. Any other ideas are welcome but putting hulls into the water alone just ain't gonna work.

Jesus! Are you fucking kidding me? Its not good enough to be able to strike any location on the planet with our nukes. No! We have to act on the provocations of minor Russian officials? Are we gonna respond to Russian bloggers that spout silly shit next? I think Trump has been mostly right but some of his steps has me scratching my head. Sometimes you just have to ignore the silly and stupid. What do I mean? Ignore Putin's camp followers and NEVER take them seriously.

The cost of defending others is becoming unbearable and dangerous to our own security

I support Israel but I think Netanyahu is a madman (it makes no sense to continue combat operations that is breaking his armed forces and destroying his economy), but the idea of expending so much of our stockpile is a mindfuck. I thought we were getting ready for a war with China? Obviously not if we're doing stuff like this. The empire will be shattered if we cross swords with China and lose, which means we can't lose, which means we've got to replenish our stocks and guard them like national security assets in OUR defense.

The pivot to the Pacific & America first is a pathetic lie. We're expending/donating high need/low density weaponry in defense of others that we don't stand a chance against China

If the US were fully focused on defeating China then we could PROBABLY pull it off. These distractions and weird entanglements that we keep getting pulled into? I have to believe that is part of the plan to weaken our defenses. Ukraine? The EU should be all over the defense of that nation and supplying them with everything and anything they need. If we believe the talking points then they must "defeat Russia there so they don't get to the EU". 

Israel? Good God that nation's leadership irritates the FUCK outta me. Netanyahu has no off switch. He's had numerous points where he could have taken the time to stop the fighting and rebuild his economy AND his military but its like he's out hunting for fights.

The Trump admin?  Trump's instincts are spot on but he continues to yield to the hawks in his cabinet and in Congress.

If China is the true threat then we need to get laser focused on getting ready for that fight.

If they're not then stop singing that song and reorient to doing the shit we're doing now.

Either way we need a pause to replenish our warstocks.
