The Chinese must be licking their lips. Everytime we attempt to pivot to rebuilding our warstocks we have some "ally" requiring ANOTHER huge expenditure of munitions to back their play. I believe that we're currently and into the near foreseeable future of being placed in a horrible position. I seriously doubt that we have the number of missiles, bombs, rockets etc...to be able to successfully CONSIDER defending Taiwan. We don't know the warplans but I don't see how anyone can consider engaging in a gunfight against a professional enemy with less than half a loadout. In short. I don't think we have the bullets to fight China and if we do then we'll see a bunch of ships, planes etc...running dry in the middle of the fight.

Just plain wow. Has the Marine Corps enshrined FD2030 to such an extent that they're not even considered for Middle East missions? This isn't even a stretch, only 4 platoons and the 2nd MEF can't fulfill it? WHAT THE FUCK.

Small gripe session about our actions against Iran.

 Am I the only one that feels like this fight against Iran is a bit half baked and lacks a true sense of purpose except that "we don't like Iran so we gotta hit'em"?

I've noticed something that seems to be accelerating since the war in Afghanistan.

We are reverting hard to the old Vietnam metric of numbers killed to explain to the public HOW we are doing in the war.

You saw that same shit in Afghanistan.  You see it on an almost daily basis in Ukraine.  You saw it in a limited way with the strike against Maduro.  Now you're seeing it in the fight against Iran.

What have I heard about why we have to fight Iran?

1.  They must never have a nuclear weapon.  They've been on the verge of having a nuke for damn near 25 years now.  

2.  Iran is the biggest state sponsor of terrorism.

3.  The Iranian people are yearning to be free.

4.  The Ayatollah is evil and must be killed.

If I give you the benefit of the doubt on all of the above AND ADD that the most serious part of this whole scenario is that they must never have nukes then why would we strike them when the peace talks were reportedly going well?

I can't put my finger on this one and maybe I am going PUSSY but this fight just don't feel "right".

From the dustup in Ukraine when I've seen many exit ramps blocked by so called allies that dung their fangs into the floorboard and wanted the fight to continue despite all the promise that peace talks potentially had all the way up to this one.

These fights just don't feel right.  Even worse.  I think they go against the President's own instincts in this area and its like he's being given advice that goes against his own take on things.

Conspiracy time so don't laugh too hard at me.

I'm really locking into the idea that there are groups of people that lust after warfare and will influence the engagement of nations against nations for the benefit of themselves and not the people.

Sounds stupid I know but I can't find another explanation.  With that I mean if they had a good rationale for these actions they'd be shouting it to the rooftops but instead they give us elementary school explanations of why we send our people to kill or be killed and wait for influencers to sway the public.

If this tweet is true and I have no idea but if true it explains alot.

The IDF went for the quick kill.  Hit or miss matters not.  The gloves were off and since we support the state we had to go too.

THIS IS WHAT I HATE ABOUT ALLIANCE WARFARE!

Our needs are wrapped up in the needs of allies.  In other words if they make a bad play we have no choice but to back them up and AFTER the fight is done then we can work it out, decide to knuckle up (assuming its that bad a play) or talk in detail so we never deal with again and/or just never work with them again.

Can't lie.

I swear to all that's holy that I worried about the Netanyahu seeing a path to a deal going rogue and kicking this thing off but got complacent when I saw reports that the talks were going well that I backed off it.

I was so wrong.

I SUPPORT ISRAEL!!!  FULL STOP!!!

But the Israelis need to put a fucking muzzle on Netanyahu.  That fucker is gonna walk us into some terrible shit if they/we/us don't.

Did the decapitation strike against the Ayatollah miss or not? Supposedly he's about to speak

Ok. This is starting to make a bit of sense.

Someone in some intel agency found out a meeting was going all, convinced the President to go for the strike, probably with the thought of a quick hit, end of fighting and to let the population topple the govt.

Was the intel verified?  Probably some popup shit so they had to roll the dice.  So if the goal was a quick hit to destabilize the govt and they got the location wrong or didn't use enough ordnance then that explains why we're here.

Could it be so simple?

Don't know if this will hurt militarily or not. I do know the optics are clear. The Iranians got a say just like every opponent does in a fight and it appears that they hit hard.

Last night I posted that it looked like we dodged a bullet because the talks were reportedly going well.

Which makes me wonder.

Did we kick this thing off or did the Israelis?

That's what I hate about alliances.  We're left in the position of backing bad plays if one of our buddies initiates a fight.

You just know Netanyahu is pissed...

 

Ya know this is the last thing that Netanyahu wants to hear. I know he's pissed. Still can't figure out what his end game is. Israel simply can't continue to engage in endless warfare. Its breaking its military and economy but no one is asking and he ain't telling. Early on people speculated that this was all to avoid jail but I think its bigger than that.

5 tier 1 special ops units in the USA?

As OutKick readers are well aware, the United States Special Operations community is the most elite, well-trained, capable and efficient in the world.


We have capabilities other countries couldn't dream of possessing, and our Tier One units are the tip of the spear.


Below are the United States secret and covert five Tier One units:


  • Delta Force: Direct action and hostage rescue.
  • SEAL Team 6: Direct action and hostage rescue.
  • RRC: Stealth recon in extreme environments with direct action capabilities.
  • TFO: Intelligence.
  • 24th STS: Air Force CCTs and PJs, often augmented to ST6 and Delta.

The article touts the capabilities of the 24th STS but the units that are classed as tier 1 is what caught my attention.

Delta and SEAL Team 6?  Everyone knows that no surprise.  Regimental Recon Company (RRC) from the Rangers?  NEVER KNEW!

Interesting though.  A Ranger has the choice of going either Delta or RRC?  Just plain wow.

It supports other Tier 1 units like Delta Force and SEAL Team 6 by conducting undercover operations, surveillance, and pre-mission reconnaissance to enable high-stakes, direct-action missions. 

Makes sense I guess.  I wonder.  They conduct undercover ops, surveillance and pre-mission recon?  Sounds like the American Massad.  I wonder if their missions overlap with the CIA?

I know most of you already knew this but I didn't.  I thought it was a Delta and SEAL Team 6 world when it came to tier 1 but I was wrong.

Sidenote.  You do realize that we could actually thin SOCOM into a pure US Army show and not lose any capability don't you?
