Wow Lt. isn't that special! How about leading Marines instead of playing patty cake?

Will someone in Headquarters Marine Corps spare us the sight of an of Officer of Marines playing patty cake?

If she can't find something better to do with her time then its time for a serious reduction in force.  Guys in Afghanistan are fighting and dying and this officer is playing.

Amazing!

  1. Yes, God forbid she should go to church, too. That sign in the back says house of prayer

  2. From what I can see in the pic, she's not the only one playing and laughing with children.

I'm guessing it might have been some sort of event for the children, and there's nothing wrong with that. If anything, they're all positive role models for the kids. Beats hearing about young kids becoming part of a gang and out there selling smack.

BTW, I think you have an excellent blog, even if you missed the mark on this post. ;)

  3. She may do better serving in the "Global Force for Good."

  4. P.S. At least they're not wasting time with images from Afganistan showing real Marines doing what Marines are trained to do.

    21 dead in 48. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/afghanistan/7972863/Afghanistan-bomb-attacks-kill-twenty-one-US-soldiers-in-48-hours.html

And we read about it in the foreign press...

  5. well said Resident Author.

kateykakes is attempting to defend what can't be defended. the Navy/Marine Corps is putting out publicity shots designed to get the attention off the war.

    i won't fall for that.

  6. So why criticise the woman then? If you're pissed off at the Navy/Marine Corps wouldn't your anger be best served criticising them as a whole? Not just an individual who has little influence over what is/isn't being released from Afghanistan and Pakistan, you should have at least criticised what the picture meant, not the figure in it.

  7. Solomon,

I don't think that's the case at all. And FWIW, I defend ALL our troops, whether they're stateside or elsewhere. I always have and always will.

BTW, I'm curious where you pulled the picture from. I was just assuming you found it locally. Is it from a military/gov. site? If so, then yes, I do agree w/ you that it's not appropriate and they should be more focused on our troops and the war at hand. But if it's local, I don't see the harm in showing our troops spending time w/ children at a church, especially if it's their home area.

FWIW, I didn't see any links on your sidebar in the event that your readers are interested in adopting/helping any of our troops in any branch and sending things they need overseas. There are a lot of excellent programs out there and I've been doing it for years.

BTW, I still think your blog kicks ass, and if it's ok, I'll pass your link on to others. :)

  8. thanks kateykakes.

    sorry.

that pic has me high and to the right. its from the Navy website. and its from the southern partnership mission in S. America.

as far as links to the troops overseas and aid programs. my readers don't need them.

people that are interested can find those easily enough. and lastly thanks for the compliment.

  9. hey anonymous,

you're focused on her sex, trust me, if i saw a male Marine Officer playing fucking pattycakes while he was suppose to be leading Marines then I'd be alot more vicious.

to be honest i'm being extremely gentle because i know that feminist like you might be lurking. but the truth is this.

young men join the Marine Corps for many reasons. to be Youth Counselors isn't one of them.

the Marine Corps needs to dump this mission set.

and yes---that female Marine Officer needs to stop playing pattycake and take her Marines on a run, lead them through the Combat Physical Fitness Test or make sure that their gear is good to go.

    get real....you and her.

  10. Solomon,

Thanks for the clarification on history behind the pic. Much appreciated.

I'm going to pimp you out on my blog and a forum I belong to. If you'd rather I didn't, just say the word and I'll delete the posts.

    Take care.

  12. Fuck off sol.

Get your shit straight; are you criticising her or the fact such a picture was released to redirect the public's attention?

    ReplyDelete
  13. and who are you shits for brains?

oh and to answer your question both.

her for being a Goddamn Officer Of Marines and engaging in playful bullshit like that, I'm pissed at the Marine Corps for wasting Marines on fucked up missions like the Navy's partnership bullshit, and I'm pissed at the DoD for redirecting the attention of the public away from the war.

oh and i'm pissed off at you 'cause its an easy concept to understand.

  14. Yes, lets never let soldiers play with children, speak to their families, attend church, etc or anything else on their free time. From now on its fighting 24/7/365. No damn troop rotations either - its Afghanistan for the rest of your adult lives, marines.

  15. Thanks internet tough guy, that's all i wanted to know. I'd be pissed off at the DoD too and I understand the concept, our opinions just differ on the person in the pic

    ReplyDelete
  16. internet tough guy? no i'm a bastard in real life too.

i can accept our opinions differing but you drew first blood you sanctimonious bastard.

oh and to the first anonymous...what don't you understand? instead of being realistic and realizing that those Marines in the background of that picture will be in combat, fighting for their lives, you take the silly position that i want them to have no personal life.

that's just unrealistic, immoral and not a valid argument.

you train for a couple of reasons...one is to win battles...another is to stay alive.

playing pattycake with kids doesn't help with either mission.

its simple but you don't want to accept it.

  17. whatever sol,
there's not much point arguing with you anyway. politics aside i still like the blog, keep up the good work

    ReplyDelete
  18. This is all too funny. Sol are you or were you ever in the military? You got to understand that everybody has a different job. You have your infantry, your quartermasters and/or logistics. Personally I wouldn't want this Lt. leading me nowhere. She fine doing what ever is she 's doing and the rest of us we will just keep fighting the good battles, the important ones.

  19. hey anonymous.

read the blog and you'll get the answer to that question.

more to the point. that Female is wearing a US Marine Corps uniform.

i'm assuming that Female went to some type of Officer training and then on to TBS.

that Female was trained by other Officers and taken to ranges by enlisted Marines to do the job of an Officer of Marines....to prepare the Marines she leads to survive combat.

playing pattycake isn't part of it.

if you disagree fine but the Marine Corps isn't the Army...everyone fights, no one quits and if you can't hack then you get kicked out.
