  1. Sol,

I've never seen that vid and I'm so glad you posted it. Thanks for sharing. Shed many tears as watched for my brother, Steve who passed away on 9/4/10. He loved the Marines with all his heart.

The vid also had me thinking about my cousin, Eli (also a Marine) who is now at Walter Reed after stepping on an I.E.D. in Afghanistan a few months ago. Progress has been good and he's been upbeat, despite having one leg amputated below the knee, 3 fingers amputated, numerous broken bones, skin grafts and many operations to come.

God bless all that serve. They are a special breed like no other and I have nothing but immense respect for them all.

  3. Thank you so much, Solomon. I expect the grief to last for a long time to come, but dealing with it is a different story. I haven't come to terms with my brother's death yet (not sure I know how to) and it just hurts so bad. I've probably shed enough tears to fill a river, and the whole in my heart is one that will never mend.

    Anyway, thank you again.

    Keep posting; I'll keep reading.
