  1. i wonder. should i leave your remark or delete it?

it adds nothing to the conversation and you've become bothersome.

i'll leave the comment but if you're here simply to harass then i'll send you on your way

  2. Thomas, do you post elsewhere on every announcement for the F-22, EF, Rafale, Su/Mig, PAK FA, A400, etc and how it's late?

  3. Thomas pretty much admitted sometime back that he just comes here to troll.

  5. i don't mind the introduction of facts but the ones that you choose to 'introduce' are well known, and speak to past issues not the current state of the program.

if you wish to have simply a sounding board for your dislike of the program, then there are many websites available to you that will not only echo your sentiment but expand upon it. might i suggest you go to one of them.

  6. If Galrahn is going after the F-35, you might need to reevaluate your position on the program.

  7. no offense to Galrahn but he's an insider. if you haven't noticed the little 'cabal' of bloggers then you'll see that he's part of that club.

he posts stories and has inside information but like the rest of the mainstream media he holds that information because it gives him access. maybe that's how the game is played but i find it distasteful.

additionally i'm well aware that he along with a couple of other news sites that i respect are part of APA's mailing list.

that alone makes his thoughts on the F-35 suspect. when it comes to Navy matters i'll perk up but not when he's talking Marine Corps or almost anything else.

    Riiiiight.
Well then, since CF-3 was contracted initially to be delivered at the end of 2010, using that benchmark, it is about 6 months late (that is approximately a 1/2 'emotional-year' equivalent. If the delivery was affected by any changes to what is called 'the firing order' (by which the Customer juggles the order of the variant delivery to support changes to test and other priorities) after the contract was signed, or programmatic decisions were made by the Customer to delay delivery to incorporate changes prior then the delivery could potentially (but unlikely) even be 'on time'.

  9. RE: Galrahn as an 'insider'. LOL
I take it you mean 'insider' of the little cabal right?

  10. that i do. i saw the names on that list and you'd be surprised by whos on it.

several write for major newspapers. several were vocal critics and in their writings they spouted APA talking points almost verbatim.

Can you post that APA mailing list? It'd make interesting reading...

  12. i still have it but i had a rather forceful reaction from a writer in Ft Worth so i'll have to respectfully decline. i'm not sure of the ramifications of publishing it without the permission of the parties on it. but i will dig it out and have it on hand in case my allegations are about this being a 'cabal' are challenged.

  13. RE: Writer in Ft Worth.
Would that be our little Bob Cox of the Fort Worth 'Startlegram'? He's made his living handwringing and writing scare stories over Bell Helicopter, Lockmart, and Vought programs for years.
