New Chinese Stealth Fighter.

This country would copy the fillings in my teeth if they were online.

They can't innovate, have no imagination and would be a backwater country if it weren't for greedy capitalist.

We created our own monster.  Time to pull the plug on this Frankenstein.

  1. The laws of physics aren't different for the Chinese. Form follows function.

In any case, every country engages in esponiage.

Learn your Chinese history before making ignorant statements.

  2. just because they have a pretty drawings and a technology demonstrator of another aircraft (this is not the one in the videos), doesnt mean much. they are years behind us and not the threat people are saying they are.

  3. the closer you look at china the more warts it has.

china is a national thief and is stealing its way to prosperity. china is a threat but its a western designed threat. once we put greedy capitalist back in there box china will have to deal with its internal problems....food alone will be enough to truncate its growth and push them over the edge. thats a reason why i haven't shouted about food prices on this blog.

it hurts the american people but will hurt the chinese even more.

i can't wait till a bushel of wheat costs the same as a barrel of oil!

  4. well i think it has hurt america but its hurting them right now ALOT. one of the problems of not having indigenous designs and stealing them is they cant make good spare parts, their reverse engineering is not as good, and leads to less capable of weapons. Also they dont have engines good enough for these fighters to super cruise yet (and here we have too many companies wanting to sell the DOD engines, LOL :)). Also we have been using stealth for 20 years, and aircraft carriers for about 70 years, and they are just starting, we have ALOT of operational and tactical experience, they have none. its a house of cards which will come crashing down.

  5. Assuming it's the J20, I think it's an out dated drawing: most of what I've seen says the J20 has canards, which is a more European solution than an American one.

All the big players are thinking stealth so China developing in this area is no surprise. There's a lot of argument about how much they stole and from who, various sources saying it's from the Russians, from various current US programs, or from an F117 that went down over Serbia though none of these use canards so there's some other thinking going on.

Anyway speculation is that it's a large plane optimized for BVR, which for the Chinese includes targeting AWACS, Tankers, and Carrier battle groups as targets not just other fighters.

"They can't innovate and have no imagination" is what we said about the Japanese for a long time. We underestimated them badly, though later we overestimated them in turn. Nobody innovates like the US, it's arguably a very deep cultural issue, but that doesn't mean that China isn't going to do a lot of interesting things with us or without us.

  7. I was watching an interesting show the other day about the sustainability of crops worldwide. What caught my eye in your blog Sol was the cost of a bushel of wheat and who will be able to afford to pay. The Chinese have the money and will be able to pay whatever the raising cost might be. What that means to the global economy is that the nations that can't afford to pay will be left out in the cold. Will china come to their rescue? Of course not, the United States will fill the coffers of the nations that are left without. How will the U.S handle china then? I'm with you Sol, we created the beast, not sure how we can tame it now.

  8. well the file name gives FXX which produced the J20, i am not sure they would be doing two stealth aircraft when they havent perfected one would they?

  9. my idea Phil is not going to be popular but it makes sense to me.

we use food as a weapon, just like the Middle Eastern country have used oil against us.

we use our production of food against the Chinese to get a favorable trade balance. yeah we won't put them back in there cage over night but we can tax them with food....hell we can even use the feeding of our own poor as a way to raise the price of food artificially.

i'm sorry (actually i'm not) but China needs to be muzzled and the food bomb is just the thing to do it.

starving peasants cause governments to get overthrown...China is getting rich but it has ALOT of peasants that aren't feeling it.

  12. The same capitalists who helped break the economy are currently working in the current Administration.

I'm not hopeful that the destructive American capatilism that has brought us this mess is anywhere near being replaced.

We let our manufacturing base get destroyed for free trade. I also don't see any concerted plan to build it back (and protect it), besides more tax breaks and unions.

The Germans on the other hand know how to maintain and protect manufacturing. That's why their exports are kicking ass.

  13. I don't know if you go back an read these, I'm going to post on this topic again anyway. You've got a very good idea, the U.S is the top grain producer in the world, we've got so much of it that the government pays farmers not to grow. I think your idea is fundamentally sound, could we talk the congress into implementing such an idea? Really that might be a good platform for running for office. :-)

  14. i'm not going to lie Phil, i just want the Chinese to feel the pain.

they have enjoyed the weakness of the greedy and stupid in our country, now its time they felt the wrath of this countries backbone...its average citizens.

food is the way you kill the dragon. food is how you bring China to its knees.
