  1. While I could be wrong I'm fairly certain the 2nd BCT used the M109 and that the 1st AD BCT in the photo is from the 4th of the 1st in the 3rd BCT, or possibly the 1st Stryker BCT's 2nd batt of the 3rd field artillery regiment.

    As an aside how ridiculous is it that the 1st Armored Division operates 2 tank and 2 mechanized battalions? These 4 battalions are in 2 heavy BCT while the division also has an infantry and Stryker BCT.

    Once upon a time a brigade had 2+2, and a heavy division 11 maneuver battalions vs today's 8. One dearly hopes the US Army eventually gives up on the binary brigade. How ironic is it that the US Army has infantry brigades of 2 battalions while the ROK has regiments with 4 battalions?
