Sucking up to Congress Critters.

  1. Sol, they do this event every year, no joke I've done 3 of them. It's a good thing, shows capabilities and what we are to congress and their staff. It's a good thing and has.paid off in the past. Congress is important.

  2. dude. i know they do this every year. but let me ask you this.

    if they were really interested in USMC capabilities they would have done like a couple of real USMC backers and showed up at Bold Alligator. or they'd fly down to Lejeune...or Pendleton...or fly over to Afghanistan. they wouldn't wait for a scripted event at Quantico. truth be told they should shut down that base and move the whole outfit to Lejeune.

    1. To be fair, these people are staffers. They don't run the show. They don't decide what to do.

    2. you haven't had any dealings with Congress have you? if you really want something done you don't saddle up to the Congress critter you saddle up to the head staffer.

      he makes the schedule, sets the agenda etc...most of these guys are just figure heads and the staffers are the brains.

      it sounds cynical but its pretty much the pathetic truth.
