Lord Sweetman. Riiiiiiise.....

He's back.  The dark lord rises from the depths of Aviation Week and is again attempting to rally his evil Horde of Goons to strike back at the F-35.

Read his latest here.

Did you see what I did there?  That little jab at AirPower Australia?  Damn sometimes I impress myself!

  1. As a strong supporter of the F-35 I don't see anything wrong with the article and find it rather informative. It's in fact interesting that LM is finally saying the cost to operate the F-35 will be greater than the F-16 and now the only question is how much more.

Frankly I always found it extremely unlikely the F-35 would cost less to operate than the F-16 given the F-35 is in fact a heavier aircraft than the F-15C. Moreover, if the cost per flight hour actually doesn't exceed CAPE's estimate of 35K I'll call that a success and I flat out don't believe LM on this one and I'll take anyone's bet that in ten years we'll be closer to CAPE's current estimate than LM's.

As the past few years have shown CAPE has a better track record of projecting costs than LM. Whether Sweetman has gone off the deep end in past articles or not doesn't change the fact that this one is fact based and actually informative.

  2. Solomon is not capable of dealing with fact based articles. They confuse and anger him.

  3. I don't think that's true. There's a general perception by many that Sweetman has an axe to grind and is not always objective. That aside if you think Sol really feels that way why either say it or keep reading or posting on his blog lol.
